On the evening of May 3rd, stretching into the morning of May 4th, scattered groups of roughly 5-10 men and women in dark red hoods fanned out throughout RhyDin City on what seemed to be a random mission of mayhem. Some of them shook down various entrepreneurs in Seaside, Old Market, and Old Temple, while others graffiti tagged several public places in New Haven, Dragon's Gate, and Dockside. There were only a few common threads between these acts, some of which only became obvious upon deeper digging, investigation, and collation of reports. All the attackers wore red of some sort, and they mostly spoke to each other in a language that was clearly NOT Common (linguistics experts or native speakers might recognize it as Portuguese). The only common link between the businesses targeted were rumors and small details about their owners: the fishmonger with gills of his own, the baker who some shoppers say had a shadow that moved independently of her, the ice cream scooper who never smiled and had icicles for hair. The graffiti was all done in a similar abstract style, looking more like a nuisance to the average eye but betraying its true message to those fae-touched.
The Regent in Red is coming.
Seek out the Regent in Red.
Bring us the head of Sandman.
Rebuke the false ruler.
