Welcome to Brawlers on Ice!
The Setting
This year, the Winter Cycle Panther’s Claw tournament will take place at
Winter Wonderland in Old Temple!
More specifically, the fighters will be duking it out at the new Hakodate Snow Palace! It’s a Japanese-style castle, surrounded by a moat of ice for skaters to enjoy and accessed on foot by a bridge over the rink. There are two levels inside, with skates available to rent and a fully stocked bar made of ice on the upper level; and a ring decorated with dangling strands of lights down below, where skaters can pass through from the rink and put on a show for the spectators up above.
Old Man Matt Simon said no ice skates for the brawlers because that’s just a lawsuit waiting to happen, so good luck fighting in normal shoes on the ice people! There is a station set up at the entrance with duct tape and pillows for our less than graceful fighters.
For the spectators (or those who get eliminated), there’s a DJ playing some tunes. The fully stocked bar upstairs has added addition of a hot chocolate bar for the evening!
((To make things easier, RP for this night will be taking place in the #outback but the IC setting will be Winter Wonderland))
The Rules
This event is going to be a single-elimination tournament (unless the amount of entries deems it necessary to use another format) with some extra flare (not a megabrawl like previously advertised as there were some legal issues involved in that as well).
All fighters will be giving a flask of something to keep them warm while they fight at the beginning of the tournament courtesy of The Empress. The brew is clearly bewitched to give the fighters extra strength, speed, and endurance for the duration of the tournament. It also tastes great and The Empress said everyone can keep the flask!
((Once a character drinks from their flask, they will be able to fight better throughout the tournament which translates into everyone being able to fight like a Sapphire with five fancies per match during the tournament!))
Participants will also keep the wins they earn during the tournament (up to a limit of
four)!
The Prizes
Last fighter standing (or flailing) on the ice will be awarded the Panther’s Claw!
(Note: It doesn’t really look like that but wouldn’t it be cool if it did!?)
The second to last fighter standing (or gliding across the ice) will receive a leftover Christmas Ham (uncooked)!
All other participants will receive a chocolate fat man with a beard:
