The Arena is hosting a Cycle Long event! Dueling houses! Fight for the honor of your house and cut your way through the opposition for your chance at glory and prizes!
How to Join/Fight1. Sign up below and be randomized into a house. The first randomization will begin next Thursday, July the 26th. Duelist can join and be randomized into a house at any time after.
2. The first two (2) Duel of Swords duels per-night will be counted for your House Score.
3. Dueling nights for Duel of Swords are: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
4. This event will continue throughout the rest of this cycle.
Points
1 pt for dueling
+1 pt for a win
+1 pt for dueling an opponent of a different house
+1 pt for beating an opponent of a different house
+1 pt for winning a shut-out
Minimum score for a duel: 1 (losing a duel against someone in the same house)
1 for duel
Maximum score for a duel: 5 (winning a duel against someone in another house by SO)
1 for duel, +1 for winning, +1 for another team, +1 for beating another team, +1 for SO
Should a House duelist face off against a non-house duelists the points will be the same as fighting against a duelist of your own house.
Awards & Prizes
1. House Champion
This will be decided by MPDPD, with the minimum duel requirement being 6 duels completed throughout the season/cycle. (Three winners. One for each house)
Prize: A Barony Challenge Grant (One for each winner), Non-Test Free. May be used or given to another should the winner be a title holder.
2. PerfectionistMatch Point Differential Per Duel is calculated by the following formula:
Total Match Points Scored (points the dueler scored) - Total Match Points Allowed (points scored against the dueler) / Number of Duels.
Since the sword duels will be capped at your first 2 per night, shut outs will be rare and worth rewarding. The winner of this can be of any house and is not limited to just the winning house. (One winner.)
Prize: A Barony Challenge Grant, Non-Test Free. May be used or given to another should the winner be a title holder.
3. Gladiator
This fighter did not shun any opponent that stood in their way. The duelist who faced the greatest number of unique opponents will achieve this award. The winner of this can be of any house and is not limited to just the winning house. (One winner.)
Prize: Gauntlet of the Gladiator. A golden gauntlet said to imbue its wielder with the strength of a berserker.. just without the berserk-ing side effect. 5 wins over losses added to your record.
4. House Mascot
Houses will be asked to vote who they believe should be awarded the title of House Mascot.
Prize: The House Banner that is flown in the Arena throughout the cycle and a mystery box.
