March 2018 Archmage Tournament
The March 2018 Archmage Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 8:00pm Eastern! The format will most likely be double elimination (depending on entrants), and late entrants have no more than 5 minutes to arrive. Seeding will begin at 8:05pm, and casting will begin at 8:10pm.
Seeding will be based on the most recent RoK rankings. Early registration will cut off on Thursday, March 29th at 8:00pm. Any late registrants or walk-ins will automatically be ranked below early registrants. Registrants tied with the same ranking will be seeded by WoL.
Please post your registrations as replies to this thread. Good luck everyone!
((It's worked well, so we will adhere to a 5 minute casting limit each round in order to try and keep the tourney from running too late. Exceeding 5 minutes once will result in a friendly reminder from the caller. Anything after that will result in a mis-cast, meaning no spell was invoked and the opponent's spell scores for maximum damage. After a mis-cast, the duelist is still not allowed to use whatever spell they most recently used. That way the mis-cast does not serve as a type of disengage. In the case anyone needs more than 5 minutes for an urgent/special circumstance, please alert the caller, opponent, and the room so they they know you need a few minute and will return asap. Any questions, you know where to find me. Thanks!))

(( There's some issues with the standings currently. Week 7 standings were updated earlier this week but reverted back to the week 6 standings due to this issue. Andu Kirost advanced to mage with the default magespell of NR. This will be repeated in chat before the Archmage Tournament begins. ))

Lilith took the winners bracket by storm and Gren was the only one with the magical skill to take her down a peg.. sadly she then won in the grand finals. Okay, I guess sad for Gren and good for her. She told me I can be future childs ( if she even ever has one, which is laughable ) godmother so I can't be too down about Gren losing.
Either way. Lilith wins and gets to go on to face Nayun for the key to the celestial citadel.
PEACE!
(( History note: Gren beat Lilith in the first fight 5-2 in 6. Lilith then won the second with 5-4 in 9 ))

The Archmage and I will get together Wednesday night to settle this. Probably around 9 or 10 ET.

Well, I looked my demons in the eyes
laid bare my chest, said "Do your best, destroy me.
You see, I've been to hell and back so many times,
I must admit you kind of bore me."

It took all three matches, but my wife Nayun stays in the celestial tower for another cycle!
Lilith looked to take things quickly in the first match, defeating Nayun 5 - 2 in 6 rounds. Then Nayun turned the tables on Lilith and beat her 5 - 2.5 in 5 in the second match. The last match closed with a foggy finish in 10 rounds with a score of 5 - 3.5.
