Duel of Swords Community!

As ever and always, it was my great privilege and pleasure to be chosen to officiate yet another challenge! This one here! The battle to be the best! The fight for Overlord!

The Baroness of Seaside, Vaeluthil Whitevale, fought under the purple banner with sparkles. Her Second was Layla the Quiet. Listed as her People of Honor were included, and I quote, "The Cabinet of Squires: Cael the Bravest, Ahni the Greenest, and Buzzeria the Sharpest. Ellie and Layla too. And Dris the Handsome. Honeyhoof and the rest of the satyrs, and everyone else that wants to be." All the people!

Overlord Matt "I'm Old; Fight Me" Simon, fought under the yellow and black banner. He elected no second for this evening. Listed as his People of Honor were his beautiful wife Koyliak VanDuran-Simon, and children Thia and Malachite. All for the family!

The Overlord opted to Test the Baroness to see if she was even worthy of fighting him. Matt chose the Empress Jewell Ravenlock (Warlord) as his champion. Baroness Maggie Harker of Old Market stepped up to champion Baroness Whitevale during this Test of Worthiness.

In six rounds, Maggie bested Jewell and allowed for Vaeluthil to continue forward with her challenge by facing Matt directly.

It took Matt only six rounds to defeat Vae himself and maintain the Overlord mantle.

Once again, for your viewing pleasure, I'm providing a pair of play-by-play scrolls.

Round 5: "Jewell feels the whirlwind coming with that wild and crazy swing from Maggie, but duck and cover isn't going to save her from this particular tornado. Match point to little lady Harker." ( DU / SL ) 4.0 - 1.5 Mairead

Round 6: "Maggie's got her runnin' scared now. The Empress dashes right into that high strike and surrenders the match to the capable hands of the Baroness of Old Market." ( SS / HC ) 5.0 - 1.5 Mairead

Round 2: "Staying on the defensive for another round does not pay out for Vae. Matt's swinging low and slicing right into her bomb shelter to put himself on the board and tie things up at ones." ( FDU / LC ) 1 - 1

Round 3: "Vael looks like she might be mad, lungin' for Matt's ankles like that, but he's quick on the skillful defensive maneuvering to keep her at bay and jump himself into the lead." ( LC / FCP ) 2 - 1 Matt

Round 4: "Matt might be old, but he's still got some moves on him. He slips around Vae's defense here with a style and grace I thought only possessed by his lovely wife." ( CP / FSS ) 3 - 1 Matt

Round 5: "Vael gets aggressive and goes in for the lunge, but Matt's good and ready to hold her at bay. His well timed blockade here puts him at match point." ( TH / SH ) 4 - 1 Matt
