Mistakes.

[Kimone Kidd]

She had already showered and dried herself off. She stood before the mirror with an arm raised to inspect the bruises covering nearly the entirety of her left side, from the top of her hip to the center of her ribs. It still ached horribly, too many shots taken the previous night in her challenge. Her guard was a complete failure during all three matches and Blue took full advantage of her repeated mistakes, judging from the final results of the match.

Nothing else really hurt. Not her legs nor her back, even her jaw and nose weren't hurting from the blows she took. She'd have a bit of a black eye for a while though. Kim leaned close to the mirror to inspect that damage. Damn. She thought she was alright as far as looks went but this made her look terrible. That'll take some time to recover, as well.

Kimone left the bathroom and stepped into the bedroom. She looked at the bed she had shared the night before with a sigh and silently began to dress. First her pants, then the sports bra. Moving to sit on the edge of the bed and trying to hardly jostle it to avoid waking the person sleeping there, she began with her socks and then her shoes. Rising and moving to the nearby chair where her sweatshirt was resting, she began to pull it on, wincing as both arms were raised to bring it over her head.

As she began tugging it down over her chest, she heard movement from that bed. Slowing to look over, she saw the person there, looking up at her with tired eyes. Kimone tried to smile, but couldn't bring herself to do so. It was a mistake.

"Kimone? Where going?"

"Out. I have some things to do before the start of this weeks matches." Including seeing a doctor to get her ribs taped up and a lot of thinking to do. This was a mistake. "Nothing happened last night. Just the massage." Kim wondered if the girl understood what that meant.

Speaking softly in Chinese, Hoi muttered something about being so very tired and then rolled over to go back to sleep.

As she left the Jade Dragon, Kimone could only reflect on how her life was incredibly screwed up as it was, and how now she just made it infinitely worse.
