By this direct phrasing, relegating me to Renegade nullifies Melanie's efforts to protect Terry King from being challenged. The rules do not not say it supersedes any other challenge [to the Overlord], but any other as in all challenges. Which would include the challenge to me from Melanie.8. Can, at anytime, switch the alignment of a Loyal Baron with reason given in writing to all Barons and to the Standings Keeper provided a WoL record of 15 is maintained. If the Overlord should banish a Loyal to a Renegade alignment, then the Overlord must accept an immediate challenge of title if issued by that Baron. This challenge will supersede any other challenges, including that of a WLT winner.

Challenge to the Overlord.
Since the new rules were brought up...I use my banishment to press immediate challenge to the Overlord for her title.

Using this old rule, this challenge is valid and may proceed.
The challenge to Seaside from Melanie is considered put on hold pending the outcome of the Overlord Challenge.
Should Artemus be successful in his bid for the Overlord title, Melanie may proceed to either continue her challenge to Seaside, or withdraw said challenge. (Though is Terry King holds it, it is likely that it will be withdrawn.)
Should Terry King be successful in her defense, Melanie's challenge may proceed with a new time and date to be scheduled.
Artemus is correct and has the right, according to the rules, to press immediate challenge to the Overlord title upon being banished. If I recall, this has only occurred once previously(Though it may have happened before I arrived, records don't seem to indicate it.)
Good luck to both.

Oh. How disrespectful to the community. The disrespect shown to a challenger by choosing to ignore their set fight and challenge me instead. So disrespectful.
Good thing one person can't tell the whole community how to feel. You had a date and time set with Mel, and I'll assume you had a caller waiting as well. We can do this Overlord Challenge quick and clean on Thursday, November the 13th at 9 PM. You were going to fight that day anyway, how about keeping it and going against your new opponent, Mr. "Headmaster"?
I'll completely understand if you need more days to prepare, so I'll leave it in your lap.

So we had this nice get together in the Arena last night so Artemus and Terry could duke it out for the Overlord's belt. The Renegade Baron of Seaside dueled under the colors of silver, black, and green. His second was the Amazing Maggie Harker and his Ladies of Honor in absentia were Rhaine Rhustovich and Amaris Kurgen. Overlady King dueled under a banner of black and yellow with Melanie Rostol as her Lady of Honor.
The Overlady elected not to test the baron despite an offer from Warlord and former Overlord/Baron Aya "It's Deer Season" Hayashibara. A single shot duel was selected and off they went to the ring.
After thirteen rounds, Terry King reigns supreme and retains her right to the Overlord's mantle.

Code: Select all
Supreme Round 1! King looks a little indecisive there but eventually she settles on a quick low cut to test the Baron's mettle. He's ready and with a neat parry, Artemus claims the first point. (FCP/LC) 1 Artemus
Supreme Round 2! Terry steps in and tries to jab him with that rapier of hers. Again, Artemus is ready with a timely defense and some nimble footwork to double his score. (FSS/TH) 2 Artemus
Supreme Round 3! Terry finds success in taking a defensive stance as well, deftly parrying away Artemus's incoming high swing. (HC/FLP) 2-1 Artemus
Supreme Round 4! We have a brief break in scoring but not in the action as both fighters come in low to clash. (LC/LC) 2-1 Artemus
Supreme Round 5! For a second I thought something was going to happen. Instead... it seems to be duck season! (FDU/FDU) 2-1 Artemus
Supreme Round 6! Artemus gets aggressive and dives for the thrust but Terry's wanting no part of that. With a quick flick of her wrist, we're all tied up! (TH/FLP) 2 All
Supreme Round 7! Both are back on the offensive again but once more they're both down low so the impasse continues! (LC/LC) 2 All
Supreme Round 8! Another round of matchy-matchy moves. That's sort of cute you two. Look at them dance, who knew King had such fancy footwork. (SS/FSS) 2 All
Supreme Round 9! Artemus swings in low. Much like before he's meeting resistance but this time in the form of a low parry. King edges into the lead! (LC/FCP) 2-3 King
Supreme Round 10! Artemus is none too keen on being behind in this game so he lands a lightning fast thrust under Terry's high swing. All tied up again! (TH/HC) 3 All
Supreme Round 11! Well nobody can say this isn't exciting! Artemus is coming in hot up high and Terry finds herself doing the same down low. They're meeting in the middle and we've got ourselves Sudden Death! (HC/LC) 4 All
Supreme Round 12! They're both taking a safe route here and to be honest, I can't say I blame them. Artemus is bracing, King's pacing and we're still four all. (SH/FSS) 4 All
Supreme FINAL!
We've got a lot going on there, both are swinging. But when the dust settles only one comes out victorious.
I don't even know what Artemus is doing but wow is it flashy. He's winding up, winding up...and...does he do it? No! Terry King lands her high swing first and remains Overlord! (FaSL/HC)
((Final: King .def. Artemus Kurgen, 5-4 in 13.))
