Unless the challenger would prefer to rescind her challenge in order to use her prize from the WLT and challenge the Overlord. Rather than risk wasting her prize should she break her 0-5 record in challenges. Her choice...

Clearly, the challenged person is showing his nerves and sense of worry by hoping that I'll rescind. Needless to say, that won't happen.

In answer, however, this. I'd suggest letting your weapons do the talking, not your mouth.

Clearly, the challenger doesn't understand the opportunity that has been presented to her.

If her intention was to win the Warlord Tournament to take the Challenge Grant, so that no one could challenge the current Overlady, she has succeeded.

...If not, she fails to understand that by rescinding her challenge and using that grant, she could become Overlady and if not, her challenge right would be restored to her to be used again this cycle. However, if she wishes to stand by her disrespectful actions to the entire community which includes the Overlady. So be it. This was a courtesy I didn't have to extend. Moron. There's more to being a duelist than knowing how to fight. It's about thinking through your actions to the very end.

She has the opportunity to make sure that the grant is not used to challenge her significant other. There's more to being a duelist than knowing how to fight, you're right. Perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to judge and realize that yes, there is more to life than just the sports and that interpersonal relationships come before title grabs.


If anything, I respect her loyalty and determination. That's hard to come by.

Since it seems some believe they know how to dictate the rules and what is disrespectful and respectful to the community, I will make it easier for everyone.

I hereby banish Artemus to Renegade status. Hopefully, should he defend against my life partner, he can and will challenge for the Overlord mantle to make up for this OH SO GREAT injustice.

The most amusing thing about idiots is that they can always be counted on to make themselves look stupid even before I do it to them in the ring.

If the actions in the Arena are loosely based on a political system, that's been my understanding, this was the only choice I could have. I support the Overlord, I support her in more ways than one, and so I took the grant, thus ensuring she'd not get challenged. Really, all this seems like, to me, is "...hey, hey. She should challenge someone else, not me. Wahh, wahhh." Couch it in whatever form you want, it's transparent. We can all see how bad you're making yourself look.

Secondly, you speak of disrespect. Was I supposed to pull from the tourney, thus making it a three person event, and then turn around, rescind, re challenge? Who is to say that Red doesn't want to barony grant? If she did, then me taking it when I have a challenge pending is more disrespectful. In light of the circumstances, the least disrespectful path is not rocking the boat. The most amusing part is this, man. You claim it's disrespectful to the community. How would you even know? Those are the words of someone who is in touch, relevant, important and understanding of the current dynamics. For whatever reason, you're none of those things. Study the community you're trying to champion for a second. That way you can at least be butthurt and cry with some factual basis, not this dribble you seem so intent on spewing.

Oh, and by the way, I guess I was right in the first place. Join the long list of people who have found an excuse as to why they won't fight me. Excellent work, oh champion of the community. Rather than waste my time with someone else who's dodged me, and even went to lengths to find a loophole that allowed him to do so, I'll rescind.

Thanks for wasting everyone's time. It was very respectful. I'm glad that once you figured out the rules, after berating me for using them to my advantage, you proceeded to use them to yours. Hypocrisy is an ugly color, coward.
