IFL Newbs Want In
Okay, okay.
So Harris keeps yelling at me that I need to do this, but I have no idea what I'm doing.
I've plugged through a few of the old threads on this and am still very much overwhelmed and o_o and not the least bit confident in starting my own brand new team. So before anybody starts trying to encourage me to do that, please no, just no.
I'd much prefer to not take a leadership role in this because I don't really fully understand how this works and want somebody to hold my hand. Okay? Okay.
I've been exposed to a lot of chatter about IFL Season 4 coming around, seeing AIM status updates about it such as a mention about team registration opening on Monday. But I haven't seen any big to-do on the forums anywhere about it, so HERE I AM STARING SOME TO-DO.
Step 1: "Hi! I'm a newb! I want to play too! Who wants Sal on their team?"
Step 2: "What is the thing...? Please halp?"
I know one or two other people who, hearing me talk about it, have been all, "What's an IFL?" And then I linked to the Dueling Zone thing of the thing that Harris thinged at me... and the response was a curious "Ooooh!"
So maybe I'm not the only one. Anybody looking for rookies for their teams? Any other rookies looking to get in on the thing but just as overwhelmed about the thing as me and things? Anybody want to start a team and drag me along for the ride? Again, I am NOT starting my own team! Sorry/not sorry.
But um yeah. S'up?

Thank you for the replies so far.
I don't think anybody who's replied has volunteered to do the captaining. That's the hard part about this. We need an experienced captain.
I read Jewell's thread here from last year asking about what all goes into captaining. Matt's response was pretty thorough, and I don't think I or any of the other newbies are at all experienced enough, or confident enough, to do what's necessary to captain a team well at all.
I don't want to do it. Pretty sure Skid doesn't want to do it. And I don't want to be pressured into doing it as my only option. Which really seems like how this is gonna go.
I mean.... Last resort. Yeah sure. Okay. I could probably talk Sal (yes talk my character) into starting up a brand new team and captaining. He likes strategy. I had to do it with Tour de Rhydin and Deathcake. I just don't want to.
