Sadly, rescinding my previous challenge seemed to the best for every party involved. Thus, I sit at a crossroads, so to speak. I am left with a grant that gives me the right to challenge before I gain the two required wins to make the rank of Warlord within the Arena. While I personally disdain the use of grants, I feel as if I would be insulting the fine man who bestowed such an opportunity upon me if I did not put it to active use.
Mr. Thrash, this message concerns matters of this nature. As you are the pinnacle of the current dueling scene and I am a rising star within the ranks, I feel as if we should meet in honorable, fair and reasonable conflict. I like to think of myself as an elite fighter and I would enjoy, incredibly so, the chance to test my skill against an established figure in a fight with a worthy prize at stake. I am extending to you, should you be so inclined, an invitation to open negotiations pertaining to a time, venue, official and date through which we can engage in this most interesting meeting.
Sincerely yours,
Melanie.

First Madness grant was used tonight. Mel, receiving one from Aurast, challenged Jake. There was a crowd there to watch this, even the Overlady.
The Baron dueled under a banner that was blood red. His ladies of honor were Jaycy Ashleana and Taneth Mercer. His second was Napoleon the Bravehearted.
The challenger dueled under a flag colored blue and white with four four-pointed stars. Her lady of honor was Terry King and her second was Clarice Queen in absentia.
The Baron chose a best of three format.
Jake retains the barony and remains loyal to the Overlady. Congrats to Jake and well dueled, Mel.
