A Note for Terry King

Terry King was asleep when Myria arrived. She stayed only long enough to leave a get-well card on the rollaway table next to Terry's bed, to refresh the water in the small pink plastic pitcher on that table and to adjust the blinds so the setting sun's rays wouldn't lance through the window onto the young woman's face.

Inside the card, she'd written:

I'm sorry to hear what happened during the opal challenge...and at a teammate's hands no less. Pretty messed up if you ask me but I'm hoping it's not as bad as it seems. When you're on your feet, maybe we can square off for charity, yeah? Hang in there and get better soon.
