The recent trend of revolving door Opal holders since the onset of IFL continued this evening, and yours truly had the honor of witnessing it as Vincent Smith battled it out against Andrea "Apple" Anderson over MoonBeryl!
Match one was a seesaw for the most part, with both fighters spending an unsusual amount of time on the canvas. Five of the eight total points scored were via sweeps, and at the end Apple was able to string together two points to take the victory!

Match two was held up on Styx, and didn't start off looking like a rout, but quickly became a one-sided affair. After scoring the first point, Vince then surrendered 4 straight to Apple and looked to be finished as the score was 4-1 after seven rounds. But Vince rallied back. The next four rounds saw him score a clean point in each, closing the match out with a strong block to Apple's jab, completing his comeback!

Match three was down in the muck! Unphased by Vinny's comeback, Apple opened the first three rounds with three points, and it looked like a rout was incoming in earnest this time. Vince came alive to pick up a couple points himself, then traded his way to match point for Apple after dual sweeps in round seven. Apple was quick to make sure this match was sewn up in her favor, juking Vinny out of his duck to take the point, match, and Opal!

After less than a month, Vinny is forced to surrender MoonBeryl to Andrea! Good effort and congratulations are in order!
