Challenge for Fire

Post by Shadowlord »

Charles,

I have a great deal of respect for you, and your accomplishments thus far on the Isle; few have gained and defended a Tower at such an early stage of their careers. It is with the highest regard that I issue this challenge for the Fire Tower.

I look forward to watching this, one of the more exciting challenges on the Isle within the recent months.
When I am silent, I have thunder hidden inside.

It took three duels but Charles retains the Key to the Tower of Fire.

Code: Select all

Duel 1

Fire 1 They say, hell has no fury like a woman scorned...guess that could count for
keepers too (EF/RF) 1-0 Charles
Fire 2 Charles brought forth the rocks of hell but not all of them as Shadow made him
forgot after a few seconds what he was doing (MS/MW) 2-1 Charles
Fire 3 No matter how much power you put behind them, the blades do not hold under
the power of a bolt (MB/FWB) 2.5-1 Charles
Fire 4 Return to sender (MW/NR) 2.5-2 Charles
Fire 5 We all know that the Keeper doesn't like to be touched (WB/FFT) 3.5-2 Charles
Fire 6 You know what they say about Karma...it's a word that rhymes with witch
(FT/WB) 3.5-3 Charles
Fire 7 Fireworks...for those not going to the Beltane Festival tonight (MB/NR) 4.5-4
Charles
Fire 8 The Keeper does a disappearing act, avoiding the bolt and taking the the
duel(FF/FMB) 5-4 Charles
((Charles Blackstone def Shadowlord, 5-4 in 8))

Duel 2

Tartarus 1 Shadow moved, not wanting his mind played with (MW/DI) .5-0 Shadow
Tartarus 2 But seems he doesn't mind messing with the Keeper's (WB/MW) 1.5-0
Shadow
Tartarus 3 Hell's fury is halted (EF/FAR) 2.5-0 Shadow
Tartarus 4 And here comes the rocks from below falling from the sky (MS/IM) 2.5-.5
Shadow
Tartarus 6 The blades once again are destroyed by the bolt (MB/WB) 4-2 Shadow
Tartarus 7 And Shadow moves out of the way at an opportune time (FT/FDI) 5-2 Shadow
((Shadow def Charles Blackstone, 5-2 in 7))

Duel 3

Final 1 Charles got to Shadow first (MB/MW) 1-0 Charles
Final 2 It's getting cold in here (AB/DI) 2-0 Charles
Final 3 Charles made Shadow forget about the blades and he dropped them (MW/WB)
3-0 Charles
Final 4 Shadow reached out and through the fog (FF/FFT) 3-1.5 Charles
Final 5 Blades a-flying everywhere (WB/FWB) 4-3 Charles
Final 6 Charles threw up a mighty shield, putting a halt to the mind attack(FSH/MW) 5-3
Charles
((Charles Blackstone def Shadowlord, 5-3 in 6))

Congratulations to Charles on his defense. Well tried, Shadow.

Charles,

That was an excellent match. While I lost my bid, it was great fun and a fine challenge. Well done, my friend.

10 points from Champions of Mythos for failing to overthrow and slaughter Charles Blackstone.

So two things. 1. I waive the rest of my grace period. 2. It was fun shadow, I enjoyed that match very much so.

Nice to see there are still a few real men around the rings.
