There is nothing good about that food
Come to the dojo and I will prepare you a proper meal
One that will invigorate your mind and body
So that you fight like a proper warrior
and not a fattened pig
I find this true and false. True on a constant basis that kind of food is deadly to the body. But for me, I Used to pig out on food like that before a long mission, so I had calories to burn the whole time, and not have to worry about eating the whole time.

I will be by the dojo as well of course.

True
It is good to bulk on
But not for constant consumption
But you should not give praise to this type of food
Its unhealthy and unnatural
It is a bad example to young ones seeing the older eat in such a way
To know this is a constant every Tuesday is saddening

That is all

I concur with Krusolis. Aja introduced me to tacos, which was a wonderful experience. And I can still beat Nayun in Swords, even after dozens, nay hundreds of those things.

Thank you, Aja.

Not everyone has your elvish attributes
and possibly high metabolism
It is a shame to see you condone gluttony
Do you believe children should be allowed the diet listed here
Is obesity fine as well

Also we have not dueled in quite some time
So I do not understand your point

Nayun,

My children have grown up with a varied diet and not a single one is or ever was obese. Moderation is the key not deprivation.

I believe you have met my granddaughter, Maggie. She is far from obese and enjoys the occasional taco or slice of pizza. Pizza and tacos, when made properly, can be a nutritious and quick meal, but one should not live on them. Clearly, you have been watching the wrong people create those dishes.

Food for the soul is a reference to spiritual sustenance.

Colleen MacLeod-Fenner

Krusolis,

The pizza comes from Lasher's Restaurant. I thank you on behalf of my daughter and her staff.

It is a shame to see you, a woman but quite young nonetheless, tell the rest of the residents of the Isle what they should and should not eat, and simultaneously attempt to ruin Krusolis' positive message. It is a shame to see you still writing like a three year old, after more than a year of practice. Read my message carefully, young lady, before you presume to tell me what I condone.

That is all.

Krusolis message came on the heels of my challenge
It was not positive but an obvious open challenge to my reasoning to face Lem
Perhaps if you come to the Isle more there would be more duels
Yet I can look back countless Tuesdays and read the lack
There are bodies
But none seem to wish to fight
Instead they eat like pigs
Krusolis spoke of going into a coma from food consumption
That is wrong
What normal person would do such a thing
You concur with his statement
Eating in such a way would lead many to obesity
So in turn you condone obesity
My children have grown up with a varied diet and not a single one is or ever was obese. Moderation is the key not deprivation.
This is how it should be taken
To eat in moderation
But I saw no moderation that night
Only feasting like swine

That is all

Nayun,

Enough time has been spent on this exchange. If you think you can perform some miraculous change on the Isle - which is doing fine last I checked - with a challenge and a campaign against tasty food (I assume plain rice is okay with you), by all means, be my guest.

I repeat my thanks to Krusol and now say it to Shadow and others that were gracious enough to extend their thanks to me for providing food on Tuesday evening.

I am however, annoyed that Nayun saw fit to protest those contributions on a thank you note.

I have since spoken to her. Tuesdays now will also include "healthy" choices for those who wish them over whatever else is there.

Had she simply asked me, I would have gladly brought some healthy selections for her.

That is all past now and everyone can stop crabbing at each other and allow Krusol's thank you note to remain the nice gesture it started out as.

If you have not attended Tuesday nights at Twilight Island in a while, I think you should come down and join in the fun. Duel. Have a nice meal and catch up with the patrons. If you haven't dueled magic before, it would be a nice way to observe the duels and perhaps make a decision to give it a try.

For any that are concerned about what happens to the left overs at the end of the night, they are and always have been donated to local orphanages and shelters. I just never saw a need to announce it.

Again. I appreciate the thanks from Krusol and others. I didn't need it, but it was very nice to hear.

As always,
Aja

This food fight is more drama than a baby mama.

I think the only way to determine the best food is for everyone to cook their favorite foods, and bring them to my place every day until I can decide which one is the best. The decision process could take months, but I am willing to do this. For the people. And for peace.

Maggie pointed out the posts to her mother and shook her head. "This is what Mr. Vinny was yelling at Miss Nayun about?" Seeing her grandmother's words caused her brows to raise. "Mama, what's obese mean?"

"It means overweight. When someone weighs more than their body frame should allow. Some people can be very cruel about that condition," Rhiannon said as she held her daughter's hand.

"People only get it from eatin' too much?"

"No, not always, some people have illnesses that keep their bodies from processing food properly."

"You mean like how Da's not sposta eat a lot of sugar?"

Smiled at her eldest child. "Exactly"

"I'm disappointed. Everybody always fighting about something." She tipped her head up. "I'm gonna need help here, Mama."

"What kind of help?"

"Spelling help!"

Rhiannon held up the index finger of her left hand and grinned. "That, I can help with!"

Maggie penned her note:

Why is everybody always fighting and arguing? It's mean!

Captain Auntie Aja does a good thing bringing the food.

Krusol did a good thing saying thanks.

Miss Nayun is allowed her say, too. When Mama told her that the left over stuff goes to people that need it and she was ok with that. She didn't,
growed was scratched out grow up around here. Didn't anybody think that maybe she was a kid that didn't get enough food? And seeing people eating like that looks wrong to her? No, everybody just starts yelling!

Auntie Aja doesn't say where she sends it because she doesn't do it get praises. She does it to help people that have less she does. Kinda like when Uncle Paddy asked what he could give me for Christmas, I told him that I wanted the kids in the orphanages to have a good Christmas dinner. Aunt Ariana sends baked stuff to people in the shelters. Aunt Ariana doesn't ask for praises either.

This part is for Krusol. Mrs. Sarah says you shouldn't have as many sweets as you do. She tells you that because she loves you. I don't know if she's right or wrong, but you sneaking them and telling her you were being good is wrong!

"Maggie!" Rhiannon chided her daughter. "That's tattling!"

Maggie looked up at her mother with eyes that seemed far older that the face that house them. "Is it tattling if I tell you that Da ate two pieces of cheesecake in one day?"

Rhiannon's first concern was for her husband's well-being. "Did he?"

"No, it's a hypawhatchacallit."

"Hypothetical?"

"Yep."

"No, Maggie, that wouldn't be tattling. You know very well that could cause your father to get very sick."

"Well, if Mrs. Sarah told Krusol to not have sweets for that reason then it's not tattlin' on him!"

Rhiannon tried to think of a rebuttal, but Maggie's logic was pretty sound.

This part is for Miss Nayun. Eating is not just about eating food in some places. It's what my Gran calls a social custom. When there's good food to be had, people often sit and enjoy the company of others. I think that's what was meant about food for the soul. Maybe there's too much eating and not enough dueling, sometimes, but there is nothing wrong with spending time with your friends and finding out how they are.

Just so there's no mistake who wrote this, I'm going to write like that guy in the Earth history books,

"What's his name, Mama?"

"Which one, there are plenty of men in those books."

"The one that wanted to make sure the king could read his name without his glasses on!"

"John Hancock?"

"Yep, that's the guy."

and it was signed...

Such things are true
Though I am mostly experienced with them at balls and other formal functions
Not in a place for combat and sport
RhyDin may differ some it appears
But I still stand by my thoughts
It is a gross act

It is good to see a young one was able to see hopes of compromise
While the older only bickered
This is a public board for public postings
If annoyance came from opposite views
Then it is best that the praise should have been left quietly between the Krusolis and Aja

As Miss Seirichi told me many times
If you don't want conflict
Don't do something what will spark it

The matter is over and done with
There will be a healthy alternative added to the meals on Tuesday
I still dislike the concept of eating for social reasons
But it is good to know that food will be donated to those who truly need it

That is all
