Challenge for Overlord
Moderator: Staff
With the Council's decision now official, I have choices to make. Though I do not know the extent or specifics of the criteria set before the Council in the vote, I thank them for their time and I respect their decision in this matter.
My decisions on format and official will be forthcoming. As for venue, this challenge will take place outdoors, in Battlefield Park.

You're welcome for the prompt manner in which this decision was reached.
Yes, promptly. Something you should of done in your challenge in the first place.

There's still time get a bet in on this event!
The Overlord Challenge between Rakeesh Sah Tarna and Matthew Algiers Simon would take place to the southwest of the Battlefield Park Baronial Manor, next to the Redwin Memorial. The gray skies and light snow which fell during the day gave way to crisp air and a clear view of the night’s sky. In the near distance, closer to the Baronial Manor, the young orchard of meswen trees – imported gifts from Adenna given to Matt by Serichi – were visible. Two fully mature meswen trees stood tall like sentries above the numerous saplings whose budding silver leaves burst forth like novas from young branches.
Rhydin’s full moons bathed the dueling area in a soft multicolored glow enhanced by the icy objects at its border. Icy gazebos, where spectators were encouraged to gather, surrounded the snow-laden ground where Matt and Rakeesh would fight. Each gazebo was ringed by ribbed Ionic columns. Perched at the top of each column were large ice-dragons, every one unique in expression, posture and type. Their one common bond was an arcing tail which swept high into the air; each tail joined together at their apex, forming a ceiling. Inside the belly of each dragon sat a different colored light with varying hues of orange, purple, blue, green and red. These lights, which cascaded down the tails, to the claws, and into the faces of each dragon, made the column tops glows with almost sinister beauty.
Ultra thin strands of ice, intricately intertwined and woven like webs, connected each gazebo. Though delicate in appearance, the ice was fortified with the combined powers of the Tower of Water and IceDancer; should either combatant attempt to crash though these filaments, they would hold firm and keep the pair inside the perimeter of the gazebos.
Aside from the dueling and spectating areas, there were no tables laden with food, no coolers filled with ales and other drink. Tonight would be about one thing only – the challenge match at hand. Feasts and social gatherings would come later and likely elsewhere. Tonight, Battlefield Park would pay homage to its name.
