Rings of Honor: Duel of Swords 20.13 Patch Preview
General
• The Arena will be reopened 2/21
• G has been nerfed from Coordinator, Replaced with Norah
• One does not simply walk into a Ward of Gondar
• Duel of Swords is now taking over Ownership of FireStar, Duel of Fists will be given Imp as compensation.
New Challenge Mode: Cupcake Challenge
• Norah needs cupcakes! This is your time to shine and show off for the Arena's new boss. You want to be on her good side, don't you?
New World Bosses: G, the Hammer Lord and Aya Hayashibara, the Elusive.
G, The Hammer Lord
• After leaving behind the mantle of Coordinator to Norah, G has ventured back to the duels seeking money, fame, and more importantly - women. ( don't tell his girlfriend this )
Aya Hayashibara, the Elusive
• Missing in Action. No one knows where she may be, but great reward is offered to those who may find her.
Classes
• The classes of Commoner, Swordsman, Master at Arms, Grand Master, and Warlord are outdated and will be faded out and replaced.
• Upon gaining 2 WoL's a Duelist will be asked to choose one of the following..
Thief - Your gold = Mine
• Steal: An added ability to steal Silver Nobles from other Duelists.
• Backstab: Thrust will be renamed to "Backstab" and award 2 points of damage for successful use, and 1 point if unsuccessful. Backstab, if successful, will leave your opponent stunned for their next turn.
Assassin - Masters of the Shadow
• Dual Wield: Allows the Assassin to choose 2 moves instead of 1 during every round of a duel.
• Poison Master: Your weapons are coated in poison. Your opponent will take an extra .5 of damage every round after your first successful attack.
Warrior - Brute Force
• Impact!: Allows each successful move the warrior makes to triple in its damage. ( Example: Round 1: Warrior stops the assassins wild Low/High combo! 3-0, Warrior! )
• Body of Steel: Stronger Defenses! Your opponent must defeat you at 7 points now.
Priest - The Healbot
• Power Word: Funk!: Allows the priest to remove 1 point from their opponents score every round and give it to themselves.
• Shut up and Heal Me!: Awards the priest 1 point after every successful attack.
The piRATe - Too cute, can't hurt it..!
• Adorable: Your beady black eyes will put any duelist in a cuteness frenzy, forcing them to attack themselves instead of you! ( Has a one round cool down )
• That's how the Cookie Crumbles: Expect your cookies or other snacks to be stolen during every duel against the PiRATe class.
Battlegrounds: Duel of Swords Madness, The Clash at Battlefield Park
• Due to Duel of Swords: Madness' popularity, we will now be running it all year long.
• *NEW* The Clash at Battlefield Park, The Clash at Battlefield Park is a single elimination tournament held at Battlefield Park. Its details left shrouded in mystery.. for now!
*NEW* Factions ( groupies ) : Candy Groupie, Crew Groupie, P'IMP Groupie
• Fight under the banner of Candy, the Wrecking Crew, or the P'IMP and gain reputation that can be turned in for prizes!
Bug Fixes
• The bug affecting the move "Slash" has been fixed. It will now defeat any move used against it ( not counting a counter slash ) and will be given its proper two round cool down.
• Jake will now correctly drink Silver Mark as intended instead of Badsider, we apologize for the confusion.
• Matt Simon was not intended to use a weapon, he has been updated to allow punching only within the Duel of Swords.

Yes, yes. This Patch Update is a silly joke, but not everything about is is.. One thing on this list is true -- and that's..
A new mid-cycle tournament that will soon be introduced to the Duel of Swords.
Everyone from NEW and OLD should enjoy it! Please wait for more details!

The Clash at Battlefield Park
Basic Tournament Information
• Mid-Cycle Tournament
• Single Elimination Tournament
• Special Rings: Sword Graveyard, Forbidden Temple: Rooftop, Forbidden Temple: Zen Garden (More to be added. If you would like to offer suggestions toward other rings, please comment!)
• Open to all Duelists
• All Duelists will fight at Warlord Rank ( 4 Fancies )
• Icons for all who join. Special Trophy Icon for Winner and Recognition on Standings: Your Characters Name, the King of Clash
Joining Icon:
Roleplay: Those who fight within the Clash at Battlefield Park Tournament will receive a bronze ring memorializing their struggle to make it to the top!
Winners Icon:
Roleplay: The winner will receive a golden, jewel encrusted ring! Marking their triumph over all others in the Clash at Battlefield Park Tournament! Along with this ring comes the special cycle-long title of "Your Name, The King of Clash"!
• The ability to keep Wins that happen within the tournament (This will be capped at 5 total, Losses will not be counted.)
• Wins will count as activity toward Standings and reinstatement upon the following week of the tournament.
• Wins will not count toward SoA for Warlords
• Wins will not count as an Active Duel toward the Warlord Tournament
(but hopefully provide a buffer so that you feel comfortable to duel for them later on.)
The Sword Graveyard
Fallen heroes who gave their lives for RhyDin. Rise up and fight for their honor within The Sword Graveyard!
Their swords are yours to use as you see fit. If one should so happen to break and shatter, be quick and take up another!
We have new challenger! Or, well - a new stage for one!
Forbidden Temple: Rooftop!
Found in Battlefield Park. It's said an old hermit used to live inside the temple.. and before his death, none were permitted to enter. While investigating his will, it was discovered, along with his name, that he left his land and temple to the Duel of Swords.
To honor the fallen duelist, Hiroshi Nagiwa, the Clash at Battlefield park will be using the rooftops of the Forbidden Temple as a special ring!
But be careful.. a rumor tells of the ghost of the old hermit appearing to unsuspecting visitors..
Round 2, FIGHT!
Forbidden Temple: Zen Garden!
This Zen Garden will be anything BUT Zen..! Good thing there is enough sand to mop up all that blood, right? The second fighting stage within the late Hiroshi Nagiwa's Forbidden Temple!
Find your center, stay cool, relax.. and try not to get stabbed too much!
Spectator Area / Preliminary Rounds!
BATTLEFIELD TOWER
All it takes is a short trip up the large elevator..
• Not only for the tournament. Open all year round.
• Two story, rotating SkyPod that overlooks Battlefield Park, and RhyDin City in the distance.
Bottom Level
• Duel of Swords Museum. Housing oil paintings of past Barons and Overlords. The old banners that hung throughout the Arena have been relocated here -- Not counting the banners / flags of the newer duelists or the older ones who are still participating in the sport. The banners hang from the ceiling all throughout the museum, showing visitors the rich history and the different cultures of those who stepped within the halls of the Arena.
• Not only history of Duel of Swords, but paraphernalia from other venues. (If you would like to have an item from your characters challenges / etc added, post in this thread. Example: Pieces of the table Seirichi slammed Harris through in the PathFinder Challenge, The rope Harris used to tie back his arm during his defense against Sarah for PathFinder, the crowbar Candy used against Camilla for Old Market.)
Top Level
• Bar and Grill, serving 5-Star dining to patrons.
• Betting Parlor.
• Casino.
Both Levels
• Monitors setup throughout, allowing visitors to watch the tournament as it progresses, or old dueling challenges from the Outback, as well as live feeds from the Arena, Outback, and Twilight Isle during tournament off-season.
• Will host the preliminary round of the tournament. Circular rings will be placed throughout to accommodate fighters hoping to test their might in the Clash at Battlefield Park Tournament.
