September Archmage Tournament

Hello, patrons of the Duel of Magic!

To thank Lem for his kindness in holding his tournament and giving out such nice prizes, we're going to hold a tournament to find someone to oust him. That's right, it's time for the Archmage Tournament!

On Wednesday, September 21st, at 9:00 PM RDT, a double elimination tournament will take place. All Magi are invited to enter, and everyone is invited to watch. The winner will get to challenge Archmage Lem DeAngelo for the title of Archmage, and the Citadel of Stars!

Seeding will be done according to the cycle rankings, and ten minutes will be given for late pre-registrants. There is a limit of eight participants in this tournament, so pre-register nice and early!

An official will be needed for this tournament. If you can call Magic, and you want to volunteer, it would be greatly appreciated.

[DUEL Lem]

I was there as it went down. Shadow and Misty met in a best of three match. The spell slinging was fast and furious. Shadow took the lead in the first duel and never looked back as he won 5-1 after 5 rounds.

The second match was just as furious as the first, and it was all tied up at 4 each after the 7th round. However, Shadow took the point and win in the 8th round to finish 2-0 in the ArchMage tournament!

Shadow and Lem will meet on Twilight Island on Thursday night, September 22nd at 9:30 RST to duel for the title of ArchMage!

Holy cow, I was there for the Archmage challenge!

It was really exciting! It went all three duels. The first two duels were taken by the two magi relatively quickly and decisively, Lem winning the first 5-1 in 7, and Shadow winning the second 5-1.5 in 8. The third match was where things got REALLY intense! It was back and forth like a teeter-totter the whole time. At one point, in round 12, it got to sudden death at 5.5 all! But Shadow slowed it down and took two consecutive half points in order to seal the deal!

Shadow is the new Archmage and Celestial Keeper of the Duel of Magic! Congratulations Shadow, and well reigned Lem!
