Challenge to the Baroness of the Seaside

Post by Gwen Minx »

Baroness Wyheree I hereby challenge you to the Barony of the Seaside. I bear you no malice but rather believe it will be a fun, and interesting challenge.

Good to see that someone is going to challenge. Barons that are never in the rings are a blight on the sport.

Before this gets derailed, please note that I made no such accusations about the Baroness. I bear her no ill-will this is a challenge in a sport and is not personal.

Thanks,

I didn't mean to suggest that you had any malice toward the Baroness, Gwen. I merely stated a fact.

I thank you for that response, G'nort, however, I am in the Arena often enough to know inactive title holders when I DON'T see them.

So you condemn title holders for having lives and obligations beyond the arena?

Very slippery slope that. Considering you, yourself were stripped of 4 of your titles for failure to show up.

I know my own history. thank you.

Title holders who have obligation so demanding that they are unable to be active in the rings should retire those titles. You call that what you want; I call it truth.

The fact that there are only two squires doesn't bother you at all?

And Warlords that take issue with titleholders they deem to be inactive should challenge.

You care enough to complain, but not enough to actually do anything about it, Xeric.

Get a ring, hold a squire tournament, do something constructive that isn't just tedious whining. Appreciate it.

I've tried that, Harris. The fact that I can remember what happened every damn time I tried to bring a title into an active role is one of the reasons I won't do it again.

I feel that the effort I have put into this sport entitles me to do a little 'tedious whining'.

You feel entitled, Xeric? Maybe you should get over yourself. Just a suggestion.

I've been a patron of this sport for over a decade. You're damn right I feel entitled to voice my opinion.

Perhaps you're right, Harris. Maybe I should get over myself enough to stop caring what happens here. Caring seems to do no good.

Again, maybe you should take G'nort's advice. Reading is fundamental.

I take no issue with you voicing your opinion. I take issue with your tedious whining while you sit on the sidelines and refuse to pitch in while also attempting to pull every card in the book.

"I tried and it didn't work so I'm not gonna try anymore. But I still get to complain!"

"I've been dueling X amount of years! Listen to meeeeeeeeeee!"

"I've contributed sooooooooooo much more than everyone else so I should get to be as big a crybaby as I want!"

Give it a rest. For all our sakes.

I cannot believe that Xeric Mues has the testicular fortitude to claim that the headaches he's caused over the years warrant consideration as a "contribution".
