Tower of Earth Tournament

Some days ago, I received the following letter from Mart:

My beloved friends and fellows,

It pains me to inform you all that I can no longer bear the title of Keeper of Earth. I have spent many a night trying to better understand my role as Keeper and my purpose in bonding so deeply with the Earth that we are all a part of. My findings have shown me that I must leave the Isle, and even Rhy'din itself, to come better to terms with the Elements on their own Planes. I fully intend to challenge for the title once more upon my return, of course! But until that time, I think it better for us all that a new and enthusiastic Keeper come forward and claim the Key. So from this moment forth I, Mart Di'Luna, the 20th Keeper of Earth, hereby relinquish my title and Key.

Thus, the Tower of Earth is vacant. That means we're holding a tournament!

The tournament will take place next Wednesday, May 19th, at 9:00. It is open to everyone of Enchanter rank or above. Everyone will be dueling at rank, and the format will be determined based on the number of participants. Seeding will be based on RoK rankings. Sai will be officiating.

My wife has brought it to my attention that we could use the storage space. And by that I mean she's threatening to throw my crap away. So I think I'll sign up for this.

It's quite possible I left some of my own belongings in the Tower during my stay there. Not to mention that I will not pass up a a possible opportunity to compete with my beautiful wife. That said, I will be entering.

If nothing else I can boo Harris when I lose.

There was a tournament! I was there! I saw it! And it was great! Shadow couldn't make it, but Vinny entered, so there were still seven participants. I used the March/April RoK rankings to seed because they were more complete than this cycle's so far. Thorne got the first round bye.

So in the final duel, we had Vincent V.M. Smith fighting it out with Harris D'Artainian in ring Titan! Vinny had the first round lead, but Harris tied it up and ran with it from there. Vinny could only score another half point the round before Harris put the coup de grace on the duel, ending it 5.5 to 1.5 in 9 rounds!

Harris D'Artainian is now the Keeper of Earth! Congratulations, Harris! Well tried Vinny, and to everyone else who participated! Thanks to everyone who came out to watch!
