Well many of the people do not know me, yet. The ones who do I would assume would reccommend me as a mentor. ((Other then the fact I havent RPin for 10 years. However, I definately know the mechanichs of the game))
I will be in The Outback Alot the next few weeks, so if you want to see me in action stop by.

Thanks to play in the Outback (3/8 - 3/9/10), Maranya is now going to mentor Scott (Montgomery Scott).

It's possible. We try and keep the special tournaments spaced well enough apart to keep them feeling special. It also usually has to do with the prizes involved. I don't know that even once we hold another tag team event it will be a mentor/mentee specific event, but that doesn't mean that people can't sign up that way.Gwen Minx wrote:I think this is a pretty neat system, especially since I've suckered someone into mentoring me! (Not really but it sounds good that way no?) Was wondering if there was any chance of another mentor/mentee tag team tournament?

Also just because Matt or I haven't put one together as an official DoF event doesn't mean that someone couldn't organize an event like that on their own. Player driven events are encouraged and I'm sure most of the time would be supported as much as possible/is reasonable.

Question: What happens to the Mentor / Mentee relationship when the Mentor drops down from Emerald?
I ask because that appears to have happened this week (Mur / Sarah) and because it could happen to me in the future since I *just* made Emerald and can absolutely see dropping back to Sapphire, so I don't know if it would be wise to take on a mentee before hitting 20 WoL or so to make sure there's a cushion.

I don't know that we specifically addressed this when the idea was introduced but I think it's logical to assume that the bonus fancy is lost. I would think in the IC side of things the mentor/mentee relationship isn't devolved, and can remain listed but it makes sense that someone who's struggling in the rings will be less effective of a coach out of them. If anyone else has other suggestions we always appreciate and encourage them, but I think this is the most obvious answer. I'm surprised this hasn't come up previously.
