Ring Old Temple, Round One: Xanth may wanna get up and get a new buckler, cause that one looks beat too much. It certainly doesn't assist him as he tries dashin' aside like that, not when Maria's bringin' her Bat low! (FSS/LC) 1-0 Maria
Ring Old Temple, Round Two: We've got a bit of a null round here, everyone's takin' a breather. Xanth by dropping back and readyin' fer a direct assault, and Maria droppin' low to avoid a trim. No score! (SH/FDU) 1-0 Maria
Ring Old Temple, Round Three: One might have called this a thrust trap. In any case, it works, cause Xanth swings his weapon down low and with a flourish to deny Maria's bat jab from knockin' teh wind outta him! (FCP/TH) 1 up
Ring Old Temple, Round Four: Coming off of that round of attacks and defense, Xanth stays low, swinging himself for Maria's lower body. But Maria's doin' the same thing teh his legs, and so nothin's goin'. (LC/LC) 1 up.
Ring Old Temple, Round Five: A double cut is one of the staples of experienced duelists, some base their careers around it. Others try to recognize it and then defend in order to counter it successfully. This happens in this round, as Xanth attacks high and Maria swings up laterally to deflect it and save her hair.(HC/FLP) 2-1 Maria
Ring Old Temple, Round Six: The Bookend Parry style seems to be making a comeback, and this time around it certainly shows it's effectiveness, as Maria defends superbly low, stopping Xanth's attack cold! (TH/FCP) 3-1 Maria
Ring Old Temple, Round Seven: Maria appears to be running away with this one now, as she brings her bat down low to take out the lower body of Xanth, who raises his defense to the upper body, rendering it ineffective. (FLP/LC) 4-1 Maria
Ring Old Temple, Round Eight: Ladies and Gentlemen, and Guill. We have had the privelege or witnessing an exhibition of skill and
determination. Xanth uses all the tricks he can come up with to get back into this match, but Maria just stops him cold with a
direct assault, lunging as he drops down to avoid a high attack. This exchange leaves Maria victorious, and the New Baroness of
the Old Temple District! (FDU/TH) 5-1 Maria.
The New Baroness opted to go Loyal to Overlord Ticallion Carter.
