DoS:

Jan 2--Erin Dunbridge def. Teagan Rielea to win the Ring of Old Temple.

Jan. 22--Aya Hayashibara def. Wyheree Ravenlock to successfully defend the Ring of New Haven. Ravenlock was the recipient of the Overlord's Grant for the Winter 2008/2009 cycle, granted by Overlord Tormay Eludes.

Jan. 25--Xeric Mues issued challenge to Drey Starke for the Ring of Dragon's Gate. The challenge is issued illegally and is invalidated as a result.

DoF:

Jan. 25--Cassius Maximius won the Diamond, winning Diamond Quest 56. Maximius won a 5 man round robin tournament. I believe this was the second consecutive Diamond in two cycles for Maximius.

DoM:

Jan. 12--Rena Cronin won the vacant Keepership of Air, winning a four-duelist round robin tournament.

Jan. 19--Topaz won the Archmage Challenge Tournament.

Jan. 20--Bran Bale def. Topaz to successfully defend the title of Archmage and the Celestial Keepership. Topaz defeated Bale in the first duel, mind-whipping a ghostform to win 5.5-4 in 12 rounds. Bale defeated Topaz in the second and third duels, blocking a Mage Bolt with a shield to win the second duel, 5-4 in 10 rounds, and won the tie-breaker duel 5-2.5 in 8 rounds.

February

DoS:

Feb. 2--Tormay Eludes def. Erin Dunbridge to successfully defend the Overlordship, 2-0 in a B03. Eludes cut high into a fancied Dunbridge sidestep to win the first duel 5-1 in 7 rounds; he cut high over a fancied circular parry by the Baroness to win the second duel 5-3 in 11 rounds.

Feb. 13--Julian derKorst won an unofficial Valentine's Day tournament for charity which was open to all ranks, defeating Bran Bale in the finals.

Feb. 23--Teagan Rielea won the Spring 2009 Warlord's Tournament, defeating Rena Cronin in two consecutive duels in the finals, 5.5-4.5 in 13 rounds and 5-2 in 6 rounds, respectively. Cronin defeated Rielea in the undef. bracket final 6-5 in 15 rounds, while Rielea def. Kheldar Drasinia in the one-loss bracket final, 5-4 in 10 rounds. Teagan Rielea claimed the vacant Ring of Dockside as a prize, Cronin claimed the vacant Ring of Battlefield Park, and Drasinia claimed the Test-free Overlord Challenge.

Feb. 17--Neo Eternity def. Wyheree Ravenlock in a B03 to win the vacant Keepership of Water, two duels to none.

March

DoS:

Mar. 9--Tormay Eludes def. Kheldar Drasinia(Spring 2009 WLT prizewinner) to successfully defend the Overlordship, in a 2-1 B03. Drasinia cut beneath a fancied lateral parry by Overlord Eludes to win the first duel, 5-2 in 7 rounds. Eludes won the second and third duels; he thrusted over a Drasinia low cut to win the second duel 5-4 in 9 rounds and won the third duel off of traded thrusts, 5-4 in 8 rounds.

Mar. 31--Vincent Smith won the Archmage Challenge Tournament by forfeit.

April

DoS:

Apr. 3--Jay Capistrano won a four-duelist round robin unofficial tournament sponsored by Overlord Tormay Eludes. As a result, he was awarded the Overlord's Grant for the Spring 2009 cycle.

Apr. 9--Cassius Maximius def. Drey Starke to win the Ring of Dragon's Gate, winning off of traded thrusts to win 5-1 in 7 rounds.

Apr. 24--Teagan Rielea def. Jay Capistrano to successfully defend the Ring of Dockside; Capistrano was the recipient of the Spring 2009 Overlord's Grant, granted by Overlord Tormay Eludes.

Apr. 27--Xenograg kathu-Darelir def. Soerl Lute to successfully defend the Ring of Old Market, fancily ducking under a high cut to win 5-14 in 11 rounds.

Apr. 29--Cassius Maximius def. Guillermius Iulius Fortis to successfully defend the Ring of Dragon's Gate, 2-1 in a B03. Guill fancily parried away a Cassius low cut to win the first duel, 5-4 in 11 rounds. Maximius fancily parried away a Guillermius low cut, 5-4 in 12 rounds, and won the tie-breaker duel by thrusting over a Guill low cut to win 5.5-4 in 11 rounds.

Apr. 26--Jaycynda Ashleana won the Diamond, winning Diamond Quest 57.

Apr. 14--Vincent Smith def. Bran Bale to win the title of Archmage and the Celestial Keepership. Smith def. Bale, 6-5 in the first duel, Bale def. Smith 5.5-4.5, and Smith def. Bale in the tie-breaker duel, 5-3.5.

Apr. 21--Soerl Lute challenged Xanth van Bokkelen for the Keepership of Earth. I'm unsure as to the result.

Apr. 21--Sivanna won the DoM All-Ranks Tournament, defeating Maranya Volkanan in the finals.

May

DoS:

May 17--Sierra Black won the Talon of Redwin tournament, defeating Michiko Ito in the finals.

May 4--The 2009 Intergender War begins.

DoS:

June 25th--Jaycynda Ashleana challenged Erin Dunbridge for the Ring of Old Temple. Baroness Dunbridge retired in the interim, and the Baronial Council elected Overlord Tormay Eludes as champion. Eludes thrusted beneath an Ashleana high cut to win 5-4 in 9 rounds, and the Ring of Old Temple was declared vacant.

June 28th--Guillermius Iulius Fortis won the Summer 2009 Warlord's Tournament, defeating Kheldar Drasinia in two consecutive duels, 5-2 in 10 rounds and 5-2 in 5 rounds. Drasinia def. Fortis in the undef. bracket finals, 5-4 in 13 rounds, while Fortis def. Tasslehofl Momus, 5-4 in 10 rounds. Guillermius declined to take any prize; Drasinia claimed the vacant Ring of Old Temple as a prize, while Momus won the Test-free Overlord Challenge.

June 28th--Xeric Mues challenged Damien Mortis for the Ring of Seaside, only to fail to show on the night of the challenge. As a result, the Baronial Council ruled that Mortis retained the ring via forfeit. In addition, Mues was stripped of it's right to challenge for the Summer 2009 cycle due to this and other infractions.

June 4--Neo Eternity won the DoM All Ranks Tournament, defeating Guillermius Iulius Fortis in the finals.
