NEW BOOK!!

Post by RolandSalRoa »

::as you walk through the streets of RhyDin a young urchin amidst newsboys hands you a very sharp looking flyer. On it you see a picture of a middle-aged elf and an artist’s rendition of a nexus gate behind him::

[Front, Picture Side]

He was in the prime of his life when the nexus took him seven years ago. A talented mercenary who burst into the dueling world during the reign of Dalamar Ar’Daumon, Roland Salsinger carved a name for himself both in the rings and in the streets of RhyDin as a fierce swordsman. With a lifetime of mercenary training and experience, Roland was all too eager to leave the rather shady business of the hired sword for the prominent rings of RhyDin.

With a voracious appetite for testing himself, Roland quickly worked his way up to Baron and Captain of a dueling team. The middle aged elf was just establishing himself as a potential Overlord when a freak opening in the nexus consumed him and he was not heard from again… until now.

[Back, Author Side]

My name is Kestrel Peruse and I am foremost a journeyman, but the longing of my heart has always been to live the life of a storyteller. I have spent the majority of my life and great fortune on traveling to many lands. Some beyond the very fabric of what we know as reality. It is on my latest journey that I had the honor of sharing the road with Roland.

When I met Roland he was already halfway through his journey home, though he did not know it at the time. His mind was fixed on the young family that he had left behind. A wife, who he had just wed not a year before his journey began, and an adopted son who he raised by himself after the boy’s parents, Roland’s best friends at the time, had died tragically during a mission in which Roland was involved.

He longed to return to RhyDin. To settle down with his family and commit himself fully to the sport that had given him purpose during a time when he had none. RhyDin had become his home. A home he would not see for seven long years. This short series is a chronicle of his journey home as shared with me in both word and experience.
