December All Ranks Tournament


Come one, come all, bring family and friends to the December All Ranks Tournament on Twilight Isle, Monday, the 10th of December. As it is the Holiday season, the goblins will have decorated a little and be serving all your favorite Holiday treats and drinks.

Please try to be there by 8:30, I plan on passing out ring assignments by no later than 9 PM EST. All duelers are elegible to enter (including those not yet listed in the standings). The format of the tournament will depend on participation. Throughout the tournament, everyone participating regardless of rank will be allowed to use all 4 advanced spells (no mage powers, no keeper powers).

Everyone participating will be given a limited edition collectible Goblin. The exact design will be a surprise. This prize will be crafted especially for this tournament and the number created will be limited to the number of people taking part in the tournament.

And, of course, there will be prizes. Because it is the Holiday season, Brigath has donated his time and artistic talent. He will draw the winner of the tournament. The runners up will receive a wizard figurine in addition to the prize money. (The figurines will appear in the inventory of the character profiles.)
Your wins from the tournament will be added to your overall DoM record. (Losses will not be added, of course) That will be the case no matter of the format we will end up using. Should the participation be high to where dueling is not concluded by 2 AM EST, we will conclude the tournament on the next day.

Prize List:
The winner will receive
3D Character Drawing, 1500 Nobles (and a guarantied rank increase)
The runner up will receive
Wizard figurine, 1000 Nobles
The second runner up will receive
Wizard figurine, 500 Nobles

Should participation be greater than 16, the Prize table will be:
2000 Nobles for the winner, 1000 Nobles for the runner up, 750 Nobles for the 2nd runner up and 500 Nobles for the 3rd runner up, along with the 3D drawing and the figurines. So if you like to see the higher prizes then bring your friends, sign up your family, teach your pet how to cast spells.

Please be on time if you expect to participate in the tournament. Better yet, plan on being there a few minutes early.

I shall attempt at best to return to the Island for the competition and will do my best to provide a fair amount of competitiveness amongst all those present!

Results


Though quite a few of those registered to participate could not make it, we had a fine turn out. Seven casters met to compete in the double elimination tournament and to enjoy the Yule-tide decorations and treats.

After a total of 6 hard fought rounds, Azjah emerged the undefeated winner. Will placed second and Artemus third. Congratulations to all the winners.

Nobles, wins, and Goblins have been awarded to winners and participants. Sadly, there is another slight delay, 12-24 hours, in the delivery of the statues.

A heart felt thank you to those who came out to the Isle to cheer on their favorite casters. Having you there always makes the tournaments even more special for the competitors and officials alike.

I hope to see all of you and those who couldn't make this event on the isle throughout the rest of the month to duel for candy canes, and especially on the Holidays.
