October All Ranks Tournament

Come one, come all, bring family and friends to the fall party on Twilight Isle, Tuesday, October 2nd The goblins will be cooking a stew and making pumkin treats, so come hungry, too.

Also, a single elimination all ranks tournament will be held, hosted by me, Topaz Datrazanov, starting at 9 PM EST. All duelers are elegible to enter (including those not yet listed in the standings). The number of advanced spells for everyone to use during the tournament will be limited to one. Please let me know which spell you will be using with your tournament registration.

Everyone participating will be given a limited edition collectible Goblin. The exact design will be a surprise. This prize will be crafted especially for this tournament and the number created will be limited to the number of people taking part in the tournament.

And, of course there will be prizes. Your wins from the tournament will be added to your overall DoM record. That means everyone surviving the first round will have at least 1 win added to the standings.

In addition:
The winner will recieve
1500 Nobles (and a guarantied rank increase)
The runner up will recieve
750 Nobles
The second runner up will recieve
500 Nobles

Should participation be greater than 16, the Prize table will be:
2000 Nobles for the winner, 1000 Nobles for the runner up, 750 Nobles for the 2nd runner up and 500 Nobles for the 3rd runner up. So if you like to see the higher prizes then bring your friends, sign up your family, teach your pet how to cast spells.

Please be on time if you expect to participate in the tournament. Better yet, plan on being there a few minutes early.

We had a surprisingly small turn out. But those who participated had a fun torunament.

The entrants were Rena, Bran, Russel and Vinny. Everyone agreed to change the format of the tournament from single elimination to round robin, with the tie breaker being accumulated points should a tie happen.

After round 1 Vinny and Rena each had a win with 6 and 5 points respectively. Russ had 5 points and Bran 3. After round 2 Vinny had a clear lead with 2 wins and 11 points, Bran and Rena each had 1 win with 8 and 7.5 points respectively, and Russel had collected a total of 7.5 points. After round 3 Vinny emerged as the winner of the tournament with 3 wins and a total of 16 points. Russel, coming from behind, slipped into second place with one win on points, a total of 13. Rena and Bran share third place, both having collected one win and a total of 12 points.
