I agree! And since I have never been anything but a commoner it would be extra amusing if you gave the grant to me and I should win!

I'm new to town and need a place to stay as living at the inn isn't quite agreeing with me. One of those Baronial Mansions would suit me just fine though and a grant might speed up the moving-in process.

To the Public:

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for showing their interest and reasoning behind wanting the Grant. Your comments helped me greatly in trying to pick the proper candidate.

I have decided to give the Overlord's Grant to Jaycy Ashleana. She is a former Overlord and the current holder of ShadoWeaver. I will support Jaycy in her challenge no matter who may be her target.

If anyone has need to know my reasoning they are welcome to write to me in private. I am more than happy to share.

Jaycy tilted her head, seeing the notice. For a moment she looked toward the general direction of the Outback, then returned her gaze to Quinn's decision.

A small nod was given, then she turned to leave and make use of the grant she'd received.

"Planning and plotting." She chuckled as she moved out of the Arena.

To Whom it Concerns,

Jaycy Ashleana is the current holder of ShadoWeaver and the only opal who requested the grant. Let it now be known that for as long as I am Overlord the holders of these precious stones will be given preference whenever it comes time to consider the Grant.

The opal holders are, after all, a family first and foremost.

It was my duty and privilege to this challenge to Dockside. The Overlord Grantee, Grand Master Jaycynda Ashleana, had the Overlord herself as Second. Jaycy also dueled under Quinn's banner, that being two royal blue accent flags attached to either side of the main flag bearing the same black silhouette on a smaller scale. Those flags had the same fading pattern, but were done in tones of blue and purple. Lord Leonardo de Lorenzo stood with Jaycy, as well.

Baron Gnort Dragoon-Talanador dueled under his colors of silver and blue. His Second was Cassius, and his Lady of Honor was Wyheree. He selected the Single Format.

Both duelists favored the cuts, but frequently blocked each others' and the match went beyond regulation length. A fancy parry and a thrust gave Gnort a quick 2-0 lead after 3 rounds. Three rounds of mirror disease ended when Gnort went for a quad-cut and Jaycy parried it. They then traded cuts, and Gnort led 3-1.5 after 8 rounds. Jaycy then scored three points in the next 5 rounds to lead 4.5-3 after 13. Gnort got a point back in Round 15 but fell to defeat in Round 16.

All hail the new Baroness of Dockside! The Overlord accepted Jaycy petition of Loyalty.
