Overlord Challenge results

On Friday, January 5th, I was honored to officate the challenge match between Overlord Cory Havoick and Warlord Spike u'Shell. Spike dueled with the ever popular AJ Bird as her second and the lovely Sher Bird as her lady of honor. She dueled under the colors of silver and blue banner, sileverleaf crest. The Overlord dueled with no colors and for the honor of his family.

The challenge was a best of three affair.

The first match began slowly, with neither gaining much of a foothold after six. However, from the seventh through eleventh, Cory was dominant and walked away with the win.

The second match began quicker but soon slowed down. Spike nickled and dimed her way into a late lead, but a series of three quick, unanswered points gave Cory his second victory of the night!

All hail the Overlord, Cory Havoick on his second sucessful defense!

First, I would like to congratulate Spike on her excellent victory over her peers in the Warlord Tournament. Then, to thank her for a cordial and masterfully fought challenge. It was evident to me she held nothing back for our match and I salute her.

I would also like to thank every last soul who was in attendence this night for the best verses best duel. Seeing so many familiar faces and those I thought had left us was refreshing. I only hope your thirst for blood was quenched for the night and left you hungering to return for dueling tomorrow!

In spirit of fairness, I open the gates to Commoners and Warlords alike to express their views on why you should be awarded this cycles' Grant. The leading contenders are Rhiannion Brock and Rab of the Mallet. These two need not submit their thoughts. Their recent successes and advances in rank having given them first and second seed. Now is your time to sway me.

You have one week from this day ((1/6/07)). I await your thoughts.

Most honorabo OverRord. I pubricry wish everyone know that I have humbry asked you in private to be the chosen duerer for this cyclers grant. Unrike that Cretus Ganderfard who insurt OverRord with him shameress tongue, I not feer this way and no WarRord deserve to be Baron who act rike that.

It was very impressive other night when you gentry beat your opponent without malrice. Most honorabo actions and words and deeds you make. This prace needs more humirity and to be red by good person. Rong rive the OverRord!!

I think important things I terr OverRord in private be shared pubricry but I onry do so with OverRord permission first. I remind, you are at risk and berieve me that there are some protting against you now. Hopefurry, it not aready too late.

Most honorabo OverRord, you not no LongWangLo for very rong time but I do know you. I come back rast week and I see how you treat your charrenger for mantle other night. You probabry no see RongWayLo but I there and I watch, risten and no say nothing. It most impressive the way you gentry beat opponent without malrice. Most honorable actions and I be proud to serve the OverRord as Baron. Rong rive the OverRord! Rong rive the OverRord!!

I once a OverRord a rong time ago and refused to take 12th ring as compensation for roosing OverRord charrenge match. You know reason why. This past weekend, I return to rings and duel once again and regain rank of WarRord. I now ask most humbry again OverRord to arrow RongWangRo privarege to rightfurry earn Baron with honor and serve our OverRord.

Others that ask OverRord for same I wish rots of ruck to you and no upset if WangLo not be chosen. I know you want it too and it ok. I onry upset if Cretus chosen or if Daramar.

'ave ye' no pride? Ye' ask favor o' the O'erlord to be granted this cycles grant because ye' were once an O'erlord. Surely ye jest? Per'aps I shouldn't speak on the matter bein' but a warlord but I question ye' motive.

I think I should be given the shot because it will piss off Cas, Anubis, and a bunch of other malcontents except my drinking buddy Drey. It would aggravate G also I am sure.

Hell man think of the possibilities to aggravate a bunch of people that alone would make it a great match.

I realize this may be a touch late, but it is better late than never.

Honored Overlord Cory,

I request that you merely lend a moment's thought to granting me the grant for this cycle. I would not be so arrogant to presume that I am the best candidate for the grant, as my accomplishments have not been as high profile or as grand as most of the other candidates, but I would be doing myself a disservice if I did not at least ask.

If given the grant, I will let you choose the baron that I challenge. I do this not only as a show of loyalty and respect, but as an additional gift to you and your wife in case the cannolis and other gifts were not enough.

Overlord Havoick,

You should bestow the Overlord Grant upon me for one simple reason, Revenge. I'd probably challenge your wife to a rematch for Old Market if she makes her defense. If she is gone then I would challenge another one of your loyal barons. If I won that barony I would turn around and challenge you for the top title.

Well I know that this is late but hey I just got back!

Give the grant to me and gain another loyal baron. Simple as that!
