I thought everyone was the rank they are on the Standings for the individual Sport.

At least, that's the way it was done for Swords & Fists.

No, I mean the special Team Stage Rankings. Champion, etc.

I'll put up a more detailed post later, but basically your team assigns you a team rank (Champion, Dan, Kyu) and from then on the Team stage is exactly like a regular stage for the individual player except that only duels with others of the same rank count.

BTW, because of my unintended absence Sunday, the Magic Team will only run from Monday-Tuesday (which is when the Isle is open anyways). I hope this won't be much of a convenience.

Again, once I catch up with all the reports and standings updates I'll put in a more detailed explanation of the Team stage.
