Challenge in Fire

It has been a long time in coming...

But it has come...

Esper, my friend, after many years, I have made it to Mage. I'd like to now take the oppertunity to challenge you for your tower.

So.. I challenge you for the key to the Tower of Fire.

Given the timing of the challenge, I take it you were unsuccessful in the Archmage Tournament.

We shall discuss the timing of the Challenge after your challenge has been validated by the officials.

Tass and I have agreed upon Wednesday, September 20th, at 9:30 or so. We merely have to find an official who is available at that time.

On the night of Wednesday, 20 September, I did bear witness to the Keeper of Fire challenge match between the challenger Tasslehofl Momus and the Keeper of Fire, Etherean Esperwind.

The duels were fast paced. The challenger started out by gaining the lead and held onto it for eight rounds. Then the Keeper managed a fine comeback to win the duel in round twelve with a score of 5-4. The second duel was even faster than the first, but this time Etherean dominated throughout. He sealed the win of the second duel in round ten with a score of 5.5-2.5.

Thus Etherean succeeded in defending the Tower of Fire and retained the title of Keeper of Fire. Congratulations.
