Geez...A guy can hope can't he.

I think it's time to make some changes in the coaching staff. I don't know what's happened to them, the keep steadily going down hill.

By the way, Nick, I don't think Houston Nutt has a very bright future at Arkansas. Getting thumped by USC and then turning around and losing to Alabama didn't help his case.

Agreed.

Nutt's best years were the first few when he got the job.

The program has been slipping for several years now, and I personally think its been a long time coming. If it weren't for Frank Broyles, he would have been gone last year.

But the fans around here are loyal to him and think he is the answer. After today, I think alot of people will be reconsidering there opinion of him.

I'm siding with G. Hockey players are easily tougher than 95% of the baseball and football players out there. Only sport that even hockey players can't touch is us wrestlers. No need for pads, teammates to deliver cheap shots, and you know that every eye in the house is on you when you step on that mat.

And now for something completely different.....

Goooo Spartans! 61-14 drubbing of Illinois and Michican coming to get smacked down next week? Be still my beating heart.

Professional wrestling, like.. WWE? Or Amature wrestling like in the Olympics?

Either way, I'd have to slightly disagree with you. ;) I wrestled in High School(Even managed to pin an All state guy from my school who almost made the olympics in practice.. I totally paid for that.. hee)

Anyway, I dunno. I kinda have to say it's a flip. Some wrestlers aren't in the best shape. But they are in good shape. They have to be for some of that stuff. Still, Hockey is my sport so I'll be slightly biased. :D But again, I did wrestle, so..

Amateur of course. Wouldn't be caught dead suggesting that the guys on tv are athletes. in great shape, sure. But that's all scripted.

And I'm forced to agree that some guys, mostly the upper weights, aren't in the best of shape. Too much flab on most heavyweights, but I've seen plenty of lightweights and middleweights who'd put most guys to shame.

In the end, since you wrestled, and the closest I've come to playing hockey is hearing stories from when my dad played, I humbly bow to your expertise that hockey players are tougher than wrestlers, even if it is just barely.

Well, it's still a close thing. ;) I've played hockey, and that was when I was in the best shape of my life, which also was due to wrestling. However, Hockey players really have no choice But to be in great shape, cause all that skating, and hitting, and dodging around takes place 20 minutes at a time, with a good bit of time on the ice in that period, for three periods. :)

Wrestling, however, while taking place in a set amount of time, involves a lot of quick struggling straight through, and you have to be in good shape and have good endurance to do that. So, there's a constant amount of working out to maintain that sort of athletic ability. Hehe.

It's pretty close, I'd say. The reason I let the edge go to hockey players is the amount of time and endurance needed for a full game, and those higher weight bracket wrestlers who aren't in good shape. ;)

Plus, I totally miss playing hockey. It was one of the most fun things I did in my youth. And I was a goalie. Getting shot at all the time was so much fun. Might be why I'm masochistic! lol!
