caller's corner
I logged onto my DUEL account ( DUEL Raevyx ) and was unable to see the Caller's Corner. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I do know that I am a caller n' stuff.

I have a bug to report.
I cannot change screen names from Internet Explorer. When I launch the page and log in, everything goes great, but when I click log out, and try to log in with a different name, the system keeps taking me to the log in screen. It doesn't matter which name I try to log in with, I must close the web browser, and re-open it. Once I do that, I can log in with the next SN.
This happens from my computer at work, as well as my laptop at home. In both cases, it is Internet Explorer.

Yep, I got the same error. It's probably not connected yet, but likely a quick fix.Dimitri wrote:I dont know if this has been mentioned but the archives page wont load.

Got another one. . .
For some odd reason, my ringsofhonor.org e-mail account won't let me access it. Was there a password change I'm not aware of? Just checking.

Remember, in the end, it's all moo.
Meaning it all gets munched on, spit up, chewed on for a while, swallowed, spit up again, chewed on some more, swallowed again, and dumped on the ground in big steaming piles.

This is *probably* a cookie issue.Lucelei wrote:I have a bug to report.

You might check to see how your browser is set in terms of accepting cookies, and also whether or not you might have a firewall setting that affects cookies.
Once logged in, a session cookie gets created for the duration of your browser being open, and that cookie is probably what is or is not being set properly, such that you have to close the browser window and then re-open it.
What you might try is experimenting with the differences between what happens when the you do and don't check the "remember me" box. If you check that box, does it really let you change SNs.
Something you might look at anyway.

Jake,
I never use the "remember me" function.
Have tried clearing all the cookies, no help.
Have tried turning off my Norton Security at home, no help.
Have the same problem with the company computer at work. IE won't let me change SNs and that's a completely different set up from my home laptop.
And yet, both computers have the same issue. Must close the browser and re-open to change SNs.
Thanks for the thoughts though.

Well, even if you don't allow cookies to be written to the disk, the browser still needs to maintain some sort of state in relation to the site so that it knows who you are and that you are logged in.Alais d Nitesong wrote:Jake,

My suggestion is to try using the remember me function and see if that makes any sort of difference. You can always login again later and *not* remember me to get rid of the cookie.
Just to see if that impacts the behavior in any way.

I resolved a similar problem with another member earlier today. I had him delete all cookies and cache in Internet Explorer via Tools > Internet Options.
I am thinking that the cookies for the old site are not compatible with the new. Delete everything and start from nothing.
