New Facilities Search

The Duel of Fists is looking for several new Training Facility settings to incorporate into the game as home for the future team structure we plan to roll out in 2020, and we want YOU to help us design these spaces!

Beginning today until Friday, December 13th, you can submit a brief description (1-2 paragraphs max) of a Training Facility setting to any DoF staff member via PM:

You may submit more than one setting idea.

Our overall goal is to eventually provide a variety of Training Facilities that will fit different characters, play styles, and IC fighting styles. For example, we’d love to have one dojo training facility, a facility that fits more with a mixed martial arts style, one that fits street fighting, etc.

These facilities can be located anywhere in the city, and we reserve the right to decide on a final location should your facility be picked (to ensure that we don’t have too many facilities in the same location).

Once all submissions have been compiled on Friday, December 13th, the DoF staff will narrow them down to five choices before presenting them to the community for a vote. The top two/three will then be used as played settings “owned” by DoF beginning in 2020.

Keep in mind: While we want everyone to be able to express creativity in designing these settings, submissions should be left open-ended and flexible. These will be shared settings for the entire community to use, so we want them to 1) be general enough that the community can make them their own through play/writing, and 2) be owned and expanded upon by the community. If you put too much detail into a setting, we’ll run the risk of conflict down the line when parts of that setting aren’t played the way the creator envisioned them or are tweaked/removed/added to.
