Challenge for Dragon's Gate
Honorable Lady Takamine,
I am certain this notice comes as no surprise, as I am one among those who expressed discontent with your decision to close the Dueling School and evict the students living on the premises. As a recent two times Squire of Dragon’s Gate, and occasional instructor of swordsmanship there, I feel it is my solemn duty to use my rights as Warlord to press challenge for the custodianship of the Barony so that the Dueling School may be reopened, the students returned to their familiar places of residence, and the facility returned to business as usual. Should I fail in this endeavor, may a more worthy challenger rise up after me to achieve victory against you.
Respectfully,
Sheridan “Dris” Driscol

Written by one who takes no heed to warnings
Business as usual as you put it is compliance with a system that will only result in more harm
To expect that a Barons Manor should be used to house children and that those who win it as prize are required to care for them
In truth this is a selfish endeavor wearing a mask of good intentions
I await to see the havoc in the future created by this decision should you and likeminded individuals continue down this path
The blood of these children will be on your hands should the worst arise
That will be my final statement on the matter
The future and what may come will no longer be a concern of mine
Instead I will hope that you will provide me satisfaction in combat and accept this challenge
I am available as early as tonight if needed
Or the following Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
That is all

- As the Baron has already accepted this challenge, the 5-day rule has been met.
- The challenge must be fought within two weeks (14 days) of validation.
- This tool will assist in helping verify the required dates.

Re: Challenge for Dragon's Gate
Madam, you are entitled to your opinion, and I am permitted to respectfully disagree. Our differences in opinion are what bring us to this day, with me challenging you for the Barony of Dragon’s Gate. Unless you are, in fact, a living oracle, I would suggest not presuming to know what the future has in store for the students of the Dueling School – not all of which, might I add, are children – should you fail to defend it.
Furthermore, I heed your warnings well enough. I know that this will be a single duel between us, and that there will be no Squire’s test, as you have elected not to appoint a Squire. I am well aware of your prowess in armed combat and will come prepared to face you in the ring. On that note, I am rather fond of the restful nature of Saturdays. Now that this challenge is officially validated, let us plan for our swords to clash and sing on that day.

Saturday is acceptable and I suggest at the earliest hour possible that coincides with regulation

Excellent! We are agreed upon Saturday, the 22nd of January, at 8 o'clock in the evening (EST). I have recruited the services of the most ferocious belcher caller, Ettyn de la Rose, to oversee this challenge for us. Rest up, Lady Takamine. I do look forward to our duel.

Re: Challenge for Dragon's Gate
I called the challenge for the Dragon's Gate Barony Friday. Sheridan Driscoll pressed challenge to the baron Nayun Takamine.
Nayun fought under the same honors when she pressed her challenge: a banner with a black wolf on a white field, no second, and her wife Lisa Takamine as her person of honor. Dris fought under a black banner with a golden heart formed by music notes, had his partner and the New Haven Squire Rhys Germain as his second, and displaced students and staff from the Dragon's Gate Dueling Sword as his people of honor.
Nayun saw Dris' choice of rapier and used one in kind. Of six rounds, only one had no score. Dris opened in the lead and traded with Nayun twice, then he ducked to tag Nayun with his rapier and won the match five-to-two.
Well reigned to the old baron Nayun Takamine, and well won to the new baron Sheridan Driscoll.
Postscript: Always give me drinks and snacks when I call. This is good and just.
Ring Avarice 1: BardGallant scores! (TH / LC | 1 - 0, BardGallant leads.)
Ring Avarice 2: Everybody scores! (LC / HC | 2 - 1, BardGallant leads.)
Ring Avarice 3: BardGallant scores! (TH / LC | 3 - 1, BardGallant leads.)
Ring Avarice 4: No action this round. (SH / FCP | 3 - 1, BardGallant leads.)
Ring Avarice 5: Everybody scores! (HC / LC | 4 - 2, BardGallant leads.)
Ring Avarice 6: BardGallant scores! (FDU / FCP | 5 - 2, BardGallant leads.)
FINAL: BardGallant def. Nayun, 5 - 2 in 6 rounds. - dos[/size=75]
