I am glad you were able to make it to challenge me before anyone else did, because of our conversation on the Isle the other night. I hope you enjoy that bounty you were able to claim for challenging me, and I hope you enjoy this experience with me. Hi, everyone!

I realized that our original scheduled challenge time would have conflicted with Diamond Quest. I know it is not very good manners to conflict with a major tournament like that! And I would not want to force people to choose between going to the Outback for that and coming to the Arena for this. So we got to thinking about alternate dates.

The day we fell on was Tuesday, which also "conflicts" with Eregor's set of challenges, but perhaps the more accurate term is "intersects", because both of these sets of challenges will occur at the same place. So now you can see two sets of challenges on one night; what a deal! I reached out to everyone involved in Eregor's challenges for that day and they are all okay with the schedule intersection.

So the new date and time for this challenge is Tuesday, January 11, at 8:00 PM RST. Ettyn will continue to serve as the official for this challenge while Dris serves as the official for Eregor's challenges.

Thanks to everyone involved in these challenges for their flexibility; I appreciate it so much!

[Death Knell]

Ellie Luisante and Nayun met in the rings to decide who will be Baron of Dragon's Gate. Nayun fought under a white banner with a black wolf, and had no second but her wife Lisa Takamine as her person of honor. Ellie fought under a cyan banner with a dark cyan heart. Her best friend Serge Tenebra was her second, and he and her partner Kira Adia were her people of honor.

Ellie chose the best of three matches. The first stayed close and ran long, but in the end Ellie broke the tie and took the win.

The second match, Nayun controlled the board for most of it. Ellie rallied to a tie, but Nayun took the second win and the right to a third and final match.

The third match, they traded leads, but it was Nayun who scored three rounds in a row, trading once and taking the win. Well fought to them both, congratulations to Nayun and well reigned to Ellie.

Nayun announced she is Renegade and closing the school to outsiders, teachers included. In her words, she wishes for more prey. I take it to mean more challenges and good fights.

Until Nayun is unseated as Baroness: The Dragon's Gate Dueling Sword School students and teachers are welcome to join the classes at Harker's Academy in Old Temple. Students that were being boarded will have places to live in at Sarengrave House, also in Dragon's Gate. I expect the students and their belongings are already or will have all been moved to their new and temporary quarters before Nayun's official time as Baroness begins on Sunday.

Should any student or their belongings still not be moved by Sunday a special 48 hour extension will be given to allow for more time and I will personally aid them.

Hopefully faculty and the student body will find security in an environment that can not be easily shifted due to a change of title holders. To find safety in stability and not danger at the end of the blade of uncertainty. Wolves can and will walk in sheep's clothing and trust should not be given to all.

Especially to those who can win the right simply by virtue of sport. You only offer an ill suited hunter the ground to slay innocents.
