I was the first Baron to hold the honorific of the Old Market District, reigning as Baron of the Eleventh when it was bestowed. I did not lose it in the rings, passing it onto the Overlady of the time when I effortlessly took the crown from her. Since that time, I have occasionally issued challenge for the ring and it has eluded me, including to the present holder once before.

As I have commercial and financial interests in the Old Market District in abundance, and a desire to avenge a past defeat in the rings, I hereby challenge Hope Naharis for the Barony of Old Market.

Well! As stated it was my chore to witness this match! From what I saw, there was a lot of perforating, too...

Warlord Anubis Karos fought under a black banner, with a golden Eye of Ra; a cobra looping through the Eye and baring its fangs to the viewer. His Second was Baron of Seaside, Salvador Delahada. He fought for, and I quote: “All the lovely and virginal ladies of Rhydin....or at least that's what I would say if I was a simpering moron.”

Baroness Hope Naharis fought under the colors of white, gold, and maroon. Her Second was the delightfully charmingEden Parker, and she fought for the Honor of Real Rhydin.

This match was chosen in advance to be a single fight format. In five extraordinarily violent rounds, Warlord Karos defeated Baron Naharis in a swift and solid shut-out of 5 to 0 to become the next Baron of Old Market. Congratulations on your victory, Anubis! Nice try on that defense, Hope!
