Baron Blockman,
I realize you've only held this title a short time. However, I gave my word to not challenge for this barony while Rachael Wynter Blackthorne held it. My mother, Rhiannon Harker, and grandfather, Tass, have both held Old Temple in the past. This is a matter of honoring my family and not ill will of any sort toward you. I look forward to meeting you in the ring.
Sincerely,
Mairead E. Harker

Re: Challenge for Old Temple
A single duel decided the outcome of the Old Temple Barony. Mairead Harker started strong and kept that way throughout the challenge, only allowing Gren a single point that came at the end of a trade. As the eighth round came and passed the score of 5 - 1 brought an end to the challenge and Mairead secured the ring and a new budding reign of Old Temple.
Well tried, Gren. Congratulations Mairead.
(( The challenger, Mairead Harker, duels under a banner of midnight snow with her spirit animal, the polar bear and heritage symbols featured. Her court of honor included her grandfather, Tass and grandmother, Colleen. Her second is her mother, Rhiannon Harker.
The Baron of Old Temple, Gren Blockman, fights under the grey Perrigan's Rangers banner with a green oak tree, his lady of honor is Izira Nyte, and he has no second.
Gren / Maggie
**Old Temple 1: Gren begins the challenge by setting up a defense, one which Mairead flanks to gain the advantage and first point. ( FCP / FSS ) 1 Mairead**
**Old Temple 2: Mairead extends the lead to two points with a high swing to catch the bracing Baron. ( SH / HC ) 2 Mairead**
**Old Temple 3: The quick scoring of the prior two rounds takes the backseat as the two duelists attempt to find positioning. ( FSS / FSS ) 2 Mairead**
**Old Temple 4: A trade brings the score closer to victory for Mairead, but also a chance for Gren as he's now on the board. ( HC / LC ) 1-3 Mairead**
**Old Temple 5: Defensives take the stage but brings no results. ( FLP / FCP ) 1-3 Mairead**
**Old Temple 6: The direct route proves to be the bigger gain in the round. Matchpoint Mairead. ( HC / TH ) 1-4 Mairead**
**Old Temple 7: There's stepping and ducking happening, but no points for or against. ( FDU / FSS ) 1-4 Mairead**
**Old Temple 8 FINAL: And with another high swing over a brace Mairead gains the upperhand to take the mantle of Old Temple. ( SH / HC ) 1-5 Mairead** ))
