Challenge for Overlord

Mister Simon,

I don’t want to assume that you’re pretentious enough to want to be addressed as Overlord Simon (Mister Simon has a much more approachable ring to it, I think), so I trust you won’t be put out by the address. I won’t bother you by waxing philosophical about my feelings regarding your challenge with Mister Blockman, as I imagine my opinion carries about as much weight with you as a feather might. It happened, varying parties are agitated by it. More and more, I’m coming to a greater understanding how passionate people become about sports, especially those who make their livings from it. It’s admirable, that fire in the belly, and so many great things can be done with it.

That being said, I myself find myself motivated by the sheer audacious desire for the challenge you represent and, more ambitiously, by the bounties offered by Terry King, Claire Gallows, and yourself. I have some research of a rather important personal nature that could be accelerated by the funding, as well as the good it could do in my community.

This is my formal and respectful challenge for Overlord, sir.

Nat,

Please, by all means, address me as Matt. Please allow me to congratulate you on being the first of at least two and perhaps three, apparently within seconds of one another, to get your challenge up.

Your reasons for challenging - have they anything to do with Gren's challenge or not - are your own. I don't expect you to justify your means. As to your ends, be they the challenge itself or the bounties, my hope is the challenge and the title you may well earn means more, even if your plans with the money are benevolent.

For the paperwork records, I accept your challenge.

The challenge happened! Matt elected to fight Nat best of three. Matt controlled the first match and ended it with a 5 - 1 score in eight rounds. The second match appeared to be in the challengers favor but the Overlord fought his way to end the match 5-4 in 10 and defended his title.

Speaking of challenger, the challenge fights under a banner showing a glowing candle on a field of black and midnight blue! His second is the always smiling and beautiful Eden Parker, and his second is Mallory Maeda.. who doesn't look to be here, but is still his second in spirit!"

"Now for the Overlord! Matt's is a banner of Yellow and Black.. you know, like that one song about black and yellow. His second is.. well, no one! But his people of honor are his family -- the fashion queen Koyliak and their children Thia and Malachite."

Runt: "I BE MATT SEEMON'S SECOND!" Runt calls out, not really knowing what that means.
