Can't let the Overlords grant go to waste. Hoping to have some fun challenging Clair for Dockside. Win or lose I still want to hang out there. Need some landscaping done?

The Challenge for Dockside will be happening at 9PM ET at the Tanabata Matsuri in Kabuki Street! The match between Yeardley Owens and Claire Gallows will take place in a specially constructed ring behind the Zama Shrine beside the canal. The special ring is marked with torii gates at either end, lined with sand, and warded courtesy of Kabuki Street with ofuda. Seating for spectators is set up along the sides of the ring, offering an excellent view of the fight as well as the canal beyond. Some come enjoy Tanabata in #city-square, and stop by the Dockside Challenge while you're at it! You can find all the details here.

In the spirit of the Tanabata Festival, Claire deviated from her usual challenge attire in favor of something more suiting the setting.


The shoes came off for the fight though. Nobody wants a broken ankle.

Yeardley at least tried to fit the theme, traditional shirt with shorts and sneakers.

On this night, Yeardley Owens, utilizing her Overlord Grant from Nat Candle, challenged Claire Gallows for the barony of Dockside.

Yeardley fought under a banner of green and white. Her second tonight was Nat Candle, Baron of Battlefield Park, and her person of honor was Eden Parker. Defending the Barony of Dockside, Claire fought under a banner of Team Dirty's pink and black. Her second was Royal Farron, and her Dude of Honor tonight was Cooper Gallows.

Baron Claire chose to do a best-of-three format, resulting in two close fights!

FINAL: Yeardley Owens def. Claire Gallows, 5 - 4 in 10 rounds.
FINAL: Yeardley Owens def. Claire Gallows, 5.5 - 2 in 12 rounds.

After an impressive reign spanning more than a year, Claire Gallows relinquishes the title, and we welcome the new Baron of Dockside, Yeardley Owens!

Well-reigned, Claire! Congratulations, Yeardley!
