A thick white sheet of parchment was tacked to the corkboard with a black and gold pushpin. The message that it contained was written in an exceptionally precise left-handed script in black ink. A seal in black and gold wax with the impression in the wax of a panther head was at the bottom of the parchment.


Droet,

You have indeed achieved much in such a brief time in the area of hand-to-hand combat.

I do not and will not presume to question your reasons for your challenge for the custodianship of the Opal FireStar.

I hereby officially accept this challenge.

The challenge for the custodianship of the Opal FireStar will take place on Thursday, November 4th at 9 PM by the Eastern clock tower. The honourable Caller known as Dris will preside over the challenge.

Superfans of the Outback!

It was my privilege and honor to be chosen tonight to officiate this challenge between Deathcake’s very own Droet the Bold versus The Rock Hards’ Rachael Blackthorne! Tonight we witnessed Rachael embark on her second challenge for the legendary hottest of all Opals, FireStar! In a best of three, it only took two matches to decide this Opal’s fate.

Our first match took place in a rask generic ring and saw Rachael banking the early lead which stayed level and then increased by the third round. Droet scored in the fourth. In the fifth round, Rachael had him on the ropes at a score of three to one, and while things looked to be going well in her favor, Droet made an amazing comeback! By round nine we landed at SUDDEN DEATH, and finally in the tenth round he secured his first win of the night at a score of 5 to 4.

The second match tossed our competitors into The Boiler! A fitting ring for a fight such as this! Once again, Rachael started off strong and took the early lead, but Droet got her back immediately in the second round. She snagged the lead back again and held onto it until nearly the very end. By round eight, we once again found ourselves at SUDDEN DEATH which our fighters turned into a DOUBLE DEATH at five points each in the ninth. With a swift kick, Droet sealed the deal and went home victorious as the next holder of the Opal FireStar, completing his victory in ten rounds, again, at a score of 6 to 5.

Well tried on your defense, Rachael! Congratulations, Droet, on your very own shiny new FireStar Opal!
