Tass, I think having both a show of activity and a limit on challenges is a good thing. The show of activity requires people to duel, but do we really want to see someone lose a challenge, duel 10 times over the weekend, challenge again, lose, duel another 10, and so forth, and rack up 5 or 6 challe...

Kal, I know what you're saying when it comes to how long a challenge usually takes, but there was recently a challenge which I believe was settled in less than 96 hours from initial challenge to duels being completed. And I'm told there were challenges settled even quicker than that. So a Warlord co...

Tomorrow at 10 PM works perfectly for me - I will be there. Now if only we can find an official willing to take care of the match.

Re: Activity Discussion

Anubis is not an official administrator of the site, nor am I aware of any place he said you had to delete a post. Why aren't you allowed to challenge anytime soon? And finally, in regards to DoS challenges, myself and Tormay are the ones with the authority to say what happens in challenges. And as...

Challenge for New Haven

Deathlord, No malice is meant against you, but I wish to challenge you, because I feel a Baron should be more active in the rings. I promise that should I prevail, I will honor whoever wins the Squire's tournament you are currently holding as Squire until at least the end of the new cycle. Guillermu...

You know, this is starting to sound like back where we started, when I suggested a hold of 30 days after a challenge match is lost before someone can challenge again.

If a show of activity is what is needed, and you want to count raw wins, they'd still be unique wins, right? So you'd have to beat five different people over the course of the cycle instead of just five wins to challenge for Barony. Likewise for Overlord - ten different opponents beaten, not just 10...

You know, maybe a combination approach might be viable here. How's this idea look? 1) Allow the Warlord to challenge the Overlord directly (without needing Baronial approval) if two-thirds of Barons are Renegade. Right now, that'd take 5 of the 7. 2) If two-thirds of Barons are NOT Renegade, then a ...

Actually, a duelist can win in three with just one mod.

Hook vs. Dodge <-- 1+-0
SpinKick vs. Flip <-- 3-0
Fancy Hook vs. Dodge <-- 5-0

An official still needs to be secured for Wednesday's match, so if anyone would be willing to volunteer, that would be appreciated.

I humbly accept my post as Keeper of Air.

In the concept of believing that one should not run away from being challenged, I hereby waive both the initial seven day grace period, and any other grace period that I might accrue over my term as Keeper.
