A product from an illegal marriage between an elf woman from one of the royal priest houses and a man from one of the warrior clans in the village Petyr's life did not start well. When the priests found out, the elvin woman was forced to give Petyr to the temple, his father exiled.

Petyr grew as a temple slave, looked after by the den masters, though everyone knew it was the dragons that literally raised the boy. At times Petyr would steal away from his tasks into the archives and had learned the dragon tongues, both current and ancient. The priest, when they discovered this, blocked him from ever doing so again, and was used for "other" duties as a slave.

Petyr grew and his abilities, latent as they were, grew within him. Said abilities allowed him to hear whisperings from the Wind stone that was in the temple alter. The other slaves thought Petyr had gone mad from the abuse he had endured, but as each renewal ceremony approached, the whisperings became more insistent. Each renewal ceremony would pass without a high priest successor chosen.

When Petyr grew to the equivalent of fourteen human years, the whisperings became insistent cries in his mind. The Wind Stone wanted him to stand on the Stone of Selection on the next Renewal day. Forgoing any sense of logic, on that day Petyr waited for his opportunity to gain access to said stone. As the sun approached the Eye of Enlightenment to cast its rays on the Wind Stone, Petyr quickly crept over to the Stone of Selection. The precise moment that he stood on the stone, the sun's light hit the Stone of the Wind. The priests cried out in panic and tried to knock Petyr off of the Selection Stone, but as the ancestor glyphs flared to life with blue flame in rapid succession, a sharp blast of wind hit the priests, and left Petyr unscathed. The blue flames hit Petyr and the Selection Stone flared to life, glyphs on the walls forever etched themselves on Petyr's back, energy swirled in the air...there was a bright flash, then Petyr was gone.

Petyr has grown much since that fateful day, and the people that he met along the way helped him come out of the shell that his past grew around him. They also helped Petyr gain the courage to face the priests and his past to make things right again in the village.

After a year in Rhydin, he returned to his home village of Valenarii. When the priests heard of his impending return they planned to capture Petyr and have him executed for his sole act of having stolen the Rite of Succession.

Knowing this, Petyr made haste to the temple and to the alter there in. He knew he did not have much time to save the dragon that he knew was a dragon egg that had been stolen from the clutch of the Grand Elder Dragon herself. When he reached the alter he covered the egg with his body and begun to sing the ancient song of Release.

The priests, once they entered the temple, attacked Petyr in an attempt to get the young half elf off of the alter, as they did not want their secret to be discovered. Attack after attack Petyr endured as he poured his life energy into the egg, desperate to save the dragon within.

After what seemed to be an eternity of attacks lighting erupted from the alter and struck the elder priests and a clap of thunder threw their dead bodies back against the far wall of the temple room. Petyr's exhausted body slumped down onto the steps of the alter and when the younger priests entered, they were greeted with a small, snarling, very angry storm dragon that now protected Petyr. The younger priests, upon seeing the dragon, bowed on one knee to yield as they knew they had no ability to fight the storm dragon in its enraged state.

Soon after Petyr's recovery, the half elf was named the High Priest of the Temple of the Wind and he quickly worked to rectify things that were done wrong, to include the revival of an old Rite of Succession that he discovered in the archives.

Since then he also achieved Dragon Warrior status and Grand Archive Master.

In addition to this Petyr had found a mate in Rhydin whom he loved very much, but unfortunately the fates had somehow deemed the mate unworthy due to an unfortunate reconstruction accident in the village. After the accident Petyr had locked himself up in the archives for two years and was eventually coaxed out of the room by his fellow priests and the Grand Elder. They wanted their Head Priest to live and be happy.

Now Petyr drifts between his home village and Rhydin working both in the temple and the Dragon Sanctuary he has established in Rhydin. Only time will tell what his future holds.
Skills:
Petyr has full mastery over his control of wind. As such he can use it to make anything around him a weapon or he can change the wind's scent or temperature to match his mood. The glyphs on the back of Petyr's hands, his back will light up if he fully accesses his powers. His eyes will light up with the two colors that are usually muted most of the time: Red and Blue.

He also, through his extensive knowledge of dragon tongues, and with his bond with Wenig and the Grand Elder, has access to the collective thought of the Dragon council, whether a curse or a blessing really depends on what is being discussed at the time.

As the Archives Master he works tirelessly to unlock more of the past of his village and the regions around where he grew up, that and the past between the people of the land and the dragons that live in the region as well.

Finally his status as a Dragon Warrior shows his achievement in his ability to fight while connected with his bond dragon Wenig. This enhances his abilities, both with the winds and his physical ability.

Currently he is working with the Weapons Masters from his village to help him learn how to fight with a weapon in the event that his contact with Weing is suddenly severed. So far, his abilities with blades: not so good, he dropped his dagger the first day and sent it through his left foot, pinning it to the ground. With bows? His access to such weapons has been closed off when he lost control of the simplest of bows, and shot an arrow through both butt cheeks of the Bows Master. So now he works on his training with the Staff...which has been colorful at the most..

Wenig can be seen as a mini drake that is nestled in the hood of either Petyr's hoodie or his cloak. Do not be fooled though. Wenig is past his yearling stage and is now a forty foot long storm dragon that will not hesitate to protect Petyr from no matter where he is...or how far away.
