Appearance:

High-Knight Eleanor of House Greene. The She-B***h of Kesina. Dogal's Doe. The names lasted years after they were been spoken, left a legacy written on her skin in scar tissue. The wars were dead, and so was the kingdom, but the memories lingered in flesh until the day she died -- whether by fate, or (as she would prefer it) with a sword in her hand.

Deception was an old flavor, stale on the tongue, but easily washed back with another flawless smile. Indeed, the girl of grins and coy angles was not a creature entirely innocent of shadow; the Ink on her spine or the strength of her handshake lent way to thoughts that Eleanor was more than she let herself be. Though the calloused scars on her hands and arms had faded through the years of dormancy and idleness, there was something about the way she held herself with confidence -- surely something about her fool-hardy nature that had her walking late in the evenings with no common sense or safety, or perhaps the way she could hold her own with any man who kept her company. But for as much as the taste of deceit grew bitter, her smiles, bright-eyed and brimming with unspoken warmth, became the only thing true to her nature.

Long after dusk's vibrant colors began to carve out the sky, the girl-gone-woman stomped her heels through the sidewalks and cafes, finding refuge under fleetingly warm street lamps, thick with moth wings. These were the times that the world became still again, where the smile that had lines etched deep into her cheeks began to thin out and fade. Quiet moments; empty moments. And when she lurched out into the dark again, there was always something sticky clinging at her heels, dragging her back to the familiar old light, the glow she greatly desired to forget.
