Magdalene St. James doesn’t come from a long line of gunslingers. The rope of her life is short and fraying from both ends. She is long in shadow and short in patience.

In this shit town there is one shit bar. The local doctor’s shit brother runs the place, mostly into the ground.

A new generation of this broken world’s farmers, carpenters, miners and blacksmiths populate the tables. The smell of exhaustion loses a weary battle to the stench of alcohol and bodily excretions. Servers in various states of undress and sobriety weave between the chairs dropping drinks and hints. Somewhere in the back a male duet reaches climax.

A tall stranger leans against the bar, sliding something across the grime to the drunk whose job it was to see to the drinking.

“I’m–” she begins, but never finishes, words cut off by the abrupt slam of a door opened too hard too fast.

Skills:

Gunslinger: deadly aim. she rarely misses.
For the Law or against it, her sort tends to make their own. There’s a shortage of good steel. Times being what they are, everyone’s metal gets tested. Hers shoots true.
