Born of a human father and an elven mother, Aran passes for human well enough that few question his heritage. He's tall and slight, with sandy-brown hair and vibrant blue eyes - too handsome for a man, but not pretty enough for an elf. His name means "of noble birth" in his native Elvish.

As leader of the Elves of Ilyethlin, he represents his people on the Council of Anarven - a small village outside of Rhy'Din, where his people have settled after their own land was destroyed.
