At first glance it would seem like she was crafted from cold porcelain; all pale from head to toe, from fine-spun silk of snow-white hair that falls to the middle of her back, to pure alabaster skin with undertones of blue except for the touch of petal pink in her cheeks and her lips. The only real pop of color is the clear-water blue of her sparkling eyes. She is a tall thing, all long limbs and fine bones adding to the illusion that she's spun from glass rather than flesh.

All it would take to shatter the illusion is a close inspection of ruined skin--what she dares to bare. The tops of her ears, oddly folded like they were never so short, a lace of hypertrophic scars covers her back and parts of her arms. And more where eyes are unlikely to pry.

She is just another flockless bird with tattered wings.
