It was easy to see how Kria and her kin came to be called "blue devils": she had cerulean skin, large pink eyes with nine-pointed stars for pupils, and a series of small horns curling into her mane of deep black hair. She was five and a half feet tall, lithe but quick and powerful, and rarely without a blade -- several, if she had anything to say about it.

Skills:

In addition to marksmanship, swordsmanship, and unarmed combat, Kria benefited from the gift of the Xinvai: a noncorporeal entity, born of her own psychic energy in adolescence, that had resided in her shadow ever since. Sensitive as it was to direct sunlight, her companion could attempt to detect the same in others, a useful gift for a knight sworn to holy service.
