Appearance:

Astrid's appearance is characteristic of someone with Nordic ancestry. She's a fair skinned woman with blond hair and blue eyes. Considered tall at 5'10" she's been called beanstalk, stretch and jolly green giant. All of which she hates but takes with a grain of salt.

There was a terrible car crash a mile from the small Midwest town of Fairfax. Snowy conditions and an icy road were blamed for the tragedy, but the real cause was the recklessness of the driver who had been showing off for his date in his brand new '69 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. He's in a coma at the County General Hospital. Somehow she ended up here.

Fluent in the Nordic languages (and their Scandinavian subsets) Astrid is training to become an interpreter at the United Nations.
