Dabbler, locksmith, tinkerer, and fixer of most things

He didn't exactly exude an aura of power.

Or menace.

Or strong social appeal.

He wasn't overburdened with gratuitous amounts of muscle or good looks or charm. Taller than most women but shorter than most men, he managed to be broad shouldered and of presumably medium build beneath ill-fitted clothes that often bore the marks and stains of his trade. He wasn't the kind to stand out in a crowd, with the average everyman look that made him as easy to overlook as he was to notice.

There were a lot of things he wasn't.

And plenty more things he was.

He was athletic, daringly so, but often had little reason or chance to show it. He was unobtrusively brilliant, whiling away countless hours within his workshop or for a client, fixing problems with a creative flair and finding ways to apply his small discoveries to new things. He was minutely charming, in a modest way, with a penchant for boyish smiles that contrasted sharply with sage, ageless eyes that danced frequently with amusement, curiosity, or intelligence. Sometimes all of the at once.

He *was* a man with secrets.

He wore comic book t-shirts (Batman had become something of a hero of his, as much as any fictional character could) and old Converse sneakers, coveralls and steampunk-esque boots. Sometimes he mixed his fashions on a lark, with an attitude that implied he was confident enough to not feel the need to impress others.

Skills:

He operated out of a small shop in the marketplace, sandwiched between a bakery and a consignment shop, specializing in the repair of nearly anything and everything. The fading, paint shipped wooden sign offered the same as the business cards he sometimes handed out.
