Jin awoke one day in a hospital bed in Bangkok, Thailand. He didn't speak the native tongue and he didn't have the slightest clue of what the hell he'd been doing there. When he awoke they had his belongings, which consisted of a passport, a few rocks and the clothes on his back.

Due to citizenship disputes he had ended up on his way back to Seoul. With no prior recollection of his past or where he'd come from, he'd resorted to what he had to sustain his life, his new one. This meant turning to people he knew he shouldn't.

He'd started out as a simple enforcer for the Kkangpae. It turned out though he was tall for a Korean he was also attuned to fighting very well, in tight spaces. He became quite a hit in the lower levels and soon was given the opportunity to rise, and rise he did. Though he'd never garnish the respect that the older men had they would be stupid to doubt the talents he did have. A fantastic fighter as well as a cutthroat strategist; some say whether it was Chess, Shogi, Go or even Poker his wit came second to none.

One day however while he was finishing up a round of laundering he'd stumbled across a video that was being watched at a back-alley fight club. Something exotic apparently since he couldn't fathom why there would have been a rat in a ring. What struck him most was the fact that he saw someone in the distance, getting out of a bush. It was him. He had no issue pushing the man in front of him out his chair to take a closer look. The audio was in another language yet it was clear on the feed: Jin, The Breaker, Sin!

He couldn't believe what he'd heard that day. He hadn't known he could speak that language until he heard those words and he was thrust into a pit of unknowing. Who was he? Who had he been? There were far too many questions. He would find his way to the answers, no matter what it would take.

Eventually he had managed to hunt down the source of the tape and the man behind it. He insisted he was from another world and was locked up behind bars in an institution. Jin however knew what he saw. Pulling strings like he had come so accustomed to he'd had the man released. He had been released under the terms that he would take Jin to the world he spoke of. And so they had set off.
