The night air was soothing to the soul and it had just the right amount of that sickeningly sweet smell of blood in it. A flick of his wrist splattered congealing blood, from the tachi, to the ground and the man's lips formed into a Cheshire grin; he loved the sound.

Tonight was a good night for him. He had found his mark far too easily and that usually meant the rest of the night was going to be charmed.

Revenge was sweet.

It was time for him to be on his way and he stepped over the corpse as he headed for the door. He couldn't have known what was going to happen next or that she had planned this all along. She expected him to find her and there had been a reason why it was as easy as it was.

The time that it took for her to lift her decapitated body from the ground was how long it took him to get to the door and to sense that something wasn't right. He turned abruptly to find her body charging at him. His crimson eyes widened only slightly when he readied himself for another round with her. The hilt of the tachi grasped tightly and he straightened his spine to his full height of 6'6".

He barked out with laughter, "Damn zombies."
